I think I'm edging towards the plain one, only because I think the plain will go with any baby colours.

My Mum made our son a similar blanket when I had him, still have it - it's thicker than this pattern, not as fine. It's cherished although doesn't see the light of day.
This is a gift that is passed on - an heirloom piece. Just lovely

My go to for a baby blanket is the Call the Midwife pattern. Its so pretty and works up quickly.

I've been working on a crochet tote bag for the last 2 weeks and I've finally finished. I'm so proud of it as its the first time I've followed a proper pattern and actually finished it

I have struggled to master crocheting for years and hardly managed more than a wonky granny square, but it suddenly just clicked. This pattern was surprisingly simple in terms of the stitch involved but an absolute bugger to put together as it is made as one piece.
