If anyone buys Cross Stitch etc by heritage crafts they've gone out of business.
So nows the time to get that kit you want as prices are already going up.
I love the By the Sea range so I had a surprise splurge lol

Thank you pixxy, I love their kits - rarely buy them, unless in a sale. Thanks for the heads up. Sad for the company though 😕

I am finally in the closing stages of my Sungold blanket. Just need to finish the border, going to do a more basic one than suggested as I don't like the one Attic 24 suggests in the pattern.

Next up will be a C2C made with some nice colour changing yarn that I have had in cupboard since last year. I need a break from sewing in ends every row.

Yarn is from the Yarnsmiths 'Elvis' range, but i can't remember the name of the colourway as it has been discontinued.

I've been going to a little art class for the last few weeks and I've been learning a few new techniques. We've done acrylic painting animals, tissue paper roses and watercolour landscapes. I'm quite pleased with the results❤

Fabulous Electric 👏 I love the cow too, but the Roses looks beautiful. Never seen this before, shall have a YT search to see more. 🌷
The roses were such a simple idea, just using scrunched up tissue paper overlaid onto a picture, it could work with anything, not just flowers!

I need to make a crochet blanket for a baby boy and found a pattern that I like but after showing my mum what I plan to make she said it’s a bit OTT 😞
So, I’d like some opinions please, is my mum right and I should just do something a bit more plain? Any recommendations on a pattern would also be appreciated.

Good question, no, I don’t, she’s a young first-time mum but she admired a blanket that had a similar border and asked how much it would be for me to make one. It would be easier to just send her the pic and ask but I’d like to surprise her with it as a gift.

I like it.
I do too! Wish I hadn’t shown my mum now. I’ve just found a pic of it in a light solid colour so I might just do this without the ribbon to tone it down. It’s so difficult to choose when it’s for someone else.
