This is a thread for general chitchat off the back of ThisSingleMama’s thread to deter derailing and so members can chat about whatever they like. Everyone is welcome. Have a whinge, ask for advice/support or share your best corned beef hash recipe ❤.

*mods, I am following suit from another thread of this nature on here & placed it in this category as that’s what they were told to do.

Thank you! Fab idea. The Aimless thread might be a little less crazy if we move the general chat over to here. Hope you all have a lovely Friday x

If you could alllllll refrain from posting about corned beef, I'd be grateful 🤮🤢🤣
I never liked corned beef as a kid and haven’t tried it since. I remember distinctly my first day of primary school and my wicked Mother made me corned beef sandwiches AND never packed me an afternoon drink (she didn’t know they did that) so I felt very unloved that day 😂. I’ve always been a sensitive soul.

It's always reminded me of cat food.

I used to have to make corned beef hash, and I gagged the whole time

I’m good thanks, I’m off to the drs as it seems it’s hello menopause (just turned 40) had symptoms for about 6 months and it’s not exacerbating my adhd symptoms (still officially waiting diagnosis, however 36/37 on the questionnaire drs said extremely likely) so hoping to get some sort of help to relieve symptoms & to see if my adhd referral can be rushed but I don’t think they’ll rush it

Download the Balance app - it has a symptom checker which Helps when you go to the Drs to explain what is going on and don’t let the Dr fob you off with a blood test they don’t work if you are experiencing symptoms they should give you the medication you need

hopefully they can get the symptoms under control! I believe I have ADHD too but am yet to get assessed which I will do before I have kids because I know it can make motherhood extremely hard. I’ve always felt like I’m weird and have certain behaviours which I’ve fought to hide but the more I’ve read about it the more I believe it’s that which is reassuring that I don’t just need locking up 😂

Thanks, the dr I’m seeing specialises in menopause (friend advised me to see her) so hopefully will get sorted. I need to as my memory at the moment is absolutely shocking along with everything else happening

I actually realised a lot of my behaviours were adhd by watching a TikTok, took the online quiz which said refer to gp and gp did the form and referred no questions. Now on waiting list which is 3 years long but having an autistic child has actually helped as we tend to go hand in hand with our symptoms so we work together well. He likes avoiding people a lot and I find socialising overwhelming but we still find time and activities that suits us so he doesn’t miss out
