100% agree with you on that! She hasn’t used a barbell on any of her videos once. I don’t believe she’s going to post daily live workouts forever either so the app will die out.. She will go back to the gym and probably take back her PT clients - thoughts?I still want to know why there's a barbell in her gym if she's so confident that HIIT and light weights can maintain and build muscle? She must be training with proper weights on the sly
If you look at all of the successful fitness influencers such as Emily Skye, they have healthy relationships with food. CB doesnt, she has a very toxic relationship with food and I'm so glad that more and more are clocking onto this. I reckon she'll turn her home gym into a proper mini gym with squat rack and all sorts and then probably go back to doing PT.100% agree with you on that! I think she’ll just carry on with her app and hide the fact that she goes gym tbh. She’s a massive fraud and will no doubt continue to lie to make moneyIf you look at all of the successful fitness influencers such as Emily Skye, they have healthy relationships with food. True, Sounds about right.I think she’ll just carry on with her app and hide the fact that she goes gym tbh. She’s a massive fraud and will no doubt continue to lie to make money
I thought about this too. She’ll do both and still continue to push that she’s getting results just from daily lives. I actually quite liked her at first but she’s become worse as this years gone on and can see through the lies!I think she’ll just carry on with her app and hide the fact that she goes gym tbh. I asked her and she responded that it was a waste of money as she never uses itI still want to know why there's a barbell in her gym if she's so confident that HIIT and light weights can maintain and build muscle? She must be training with proper weights on the sly
I swear she was gifted it from the place that gifted her her dumbbells?I asked her and she responded that it was a waste of money as she never uses it![]()
yes, have to agree, Lucy mountain seems real & genuine -not so obsessed with having to workout everyday, I’ve got her nobs guide v1, and it’a much structured and realisticHave just discovered this thread and am glad it’s not just me who finds her account so problematic. I first followed CB before her insta had properly taken off and I bought one of her first pdf plans which promoted working out 6 x per week with a million burpees. I actually used to really like CB and was impressed by how well she had done for herself, overcoming an ED and building up her own business but sadly it seems she has swapped one ED for another. There is a new type of ED that isn’t formally recognised yet but may be soon called ‘orthorexia’ which is an obsession with clean eating and specific diets like vegan, gluten free etc. It definitely seems like she is suffering with this and I worry she’s encouraging others to follow suit.
I have to say that her account and ethos is extremely damaging and whether she realises it or not, she is peddling disordered behaviour, and ultimately will be planting the ‘eating disorder’ in many women’s heads.
If anyone would prefer to follow some more body positive/body neutral/anti-diet culture accounts, I would highly recommend Lucy Mountain, Tally Rye, Kanoa Greene etc. I have had to unfollow all of the typical fitness ’influencers’ as I just cannot tolerate the amount of cr*p they push, nutritional advice without any qualifications and constant HIIT training.
I’m fed up of the number of ‘influencers’ disguising eating disorders with an obsessive healthy early lifestyle.. Alex Cane and Zara McDermott are just another example of this. You watch in a few years they’ll have got back to the healthy size they were before comparing pictures of their stick selves now and say ‘no one knew I was hiding an eating disorder I became obsessed blah blah blah.’I have had to unfollow all of the typical fitness ’influencers’ as I just cannot tolerate the amount of cr*p they push, nutritional advice without any qualifications and constant HIIT training.
They frustrating thing is everyone screams “they give me results!” Well of course they do because it’s mainly HIIT and even when she says “no HIIT workout” it has some form of HIIT. Any decent PT knows that HIIT is a great way to burn “large” (FYI I hate that term) but it’s not sustainable in the long run and will cause burn out."This is the best workout schedule I've ever put together" She says this EVERY SINGLE WEEK
