Blimey at 36 weeks pregnant just do whatever it takes to get you through the day. Really reiterate what others have said. Your son will be fine. Just play with him, let him play with his toys, read him the occasional story.

So we can't go visiting friends and family under lockdown.
But under the new rules, from midnight tonight, you can visit a total stranger's home, if you want to buy or rent it.
Oh come on, you’re trying to imply it doesn’t make sense but it does, not being able to socialise and spread the virus vs looking for somewhere to live. They are hardly comparable? Rental agreements are ended by landlords all the time and people need to find new homes. Someone who lost their job might need a cheaper flat, or to sell their home entirely.

I'm quite lucky because my teens stay in their room and chat to their mates constantly. But my 4 year old has to be touching me at all times all day and night.

I understand the need for the government to reduce the furlough scheme and ask companies to start contributing. However, after being closed for so long what if they can’t make that contribution? I see a lot of redundancies coming

Just snapped at my kids getting them in bed.

I think being around them without a single break for 2 months is wearing thin. I’ve literally not been without them since March 18th.

I love them but

A genuine question but for people who won’t send their kids back to school now, will you send them in September?

a local school have outlined how they’ll do it on Facebook and parents have said it’s not a nice environment for children (can’t mix with other classes, no soft toys, separate breaks etc) but surely the same rules will also be in place in September will they not?

"Members of the White House coronavirus task force have been celebrating surpassing South Korea - heralded for its efficient virus testing - in terms of tests per capita"
Yeah, because it's all a competition. Fucking imbeciles!!
However....
"But this claim ignores the fact South Korea begun testing early in the outbreak, Romney said, "while we treaded water during February and March".

"So partially as a result of that they have 256 deaths and we have almost 80,000 deaths,""
What's there to celebrate Trump and co?!!!

This doesnt make a whole lot of sense the house viewing thing, but I have seen government ministers say the reason they are still being so tough on seeing family / friends v strangers is the urge to touch people we know. You aren't going to be tempted to hug Fred the stranger in the park, but you would be tempted to hug your nan

I will reassess things in September personally, if i don't think it is safe still then no i wont be sending mine then, either.
For me personally i would like to see some more weeks data of how this first bit of easing lockdown goes, before i pile both my young children into school/nursery. I feel with an extra 3.5 months of figures, I'll be in a better position to make an informed decision. At the moment, its all a gamble. I also think 3.5 months for schools to prepare and iron out any issues will be far better for everyone concerned than the current 3 weeks. So come September a lot of the kinks should be ironed out.
I do totally understand people's need for their children to return, wether that is because they need to work or because of their/their child's mental health though.

No idea as 1st born is senior school takes busy public busesx2 1st year gcse and asthmatic she's not shielding as mild but feels like a risk.
2nd born year 6 Sept she was looking forward to camp, prom, life skills sats even she's bit odd she won't have that.
3rd one my son missed his freinds as he has sisters.
4th was due to start preschool now I won't risk that until Jan maybe even Easter 2021.

I worry about even worse outbreak in winter
That teaching staff might die and traumatised my kids.
2 if my kids have bad anxiety issues too.
It doesn't sound like a great environment to be in.
Also might only be part time.

I just worry school won't feel like school anymore right now it childcare.
There's that anolgy I dident want to see anyone when ill or dying as wanted to remember them as they were.
I imagine school runs and going back before vaccine feel very tense and stressful for all.

Maybe Kermy means if the family are still present in the home total strangers will be able to come inside to view the house, but people can't go inside their own family's home for instance ..That's what I'm picking up from it..

I know understand what she was saying but the argument still doesn't really work, it is very different legislating for something that many people need to do, vs something people want to do. We all want to see our friends and family but allowing people to be able to move home is obviously more important as a first step. Need vs want.
