What bothers me is I could have missed all the vaccines available to me in my life but be double vaxxed and thats all people are interested in? Like when did what I've had stuck in my body bother anyone before.

For the record I've had all my jabs prior to covid but its something that bothers me.

Got my booster tomorrow morning. Bit apprehensive after how poorly I was after my second. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly
Good luck with it. Tell us all how it goes I have mine booked next week. Hoping it's a third Pfizer as I have been OK with them so wouldn't want to tempt fate with Moderna.

I’m currently pregnant and my Mother is desperate for me to get the vaccine once ice has the baby. I have told her I don’t want to and have not explained why as it’s my choice, she’s had all her 3 jabs now and never once would I tell her not to get them as again it’s her choice.

peoples medical history/ choices have absolutely shite all to do with anyone else!

I'd probably say something like Im not update with all these vaccines they keep bringing out and leave it at that. It's answer than can be used for vaccine decliners and those , like me , who are due a booster but haven't had it.

In response to the dentists asking, mine asked if and when I'd been jabbed and how many . They do ask about medication and recent illness /treatment too as well as other medical details.

I've seen some disgusting messages on SM from vaccinated stating that unvaccinated shouldn't even be entitled to NHS treatment.....
Wonder if the gov will offer us a reduction in the amount of National insurance contributions we pay then....

If I was in your situation I would promptly change the subject, suddenly remember to do something like reply to an urgent email, things like that. If you did that every time it happened then they would hopefully realise its not up for discussion and if they didn't then they are an idiot and looking for an argument but I'd still not engage in covid talk.

Do you wonder though if there will come a time when dentists/opticians etc can say no to treating unvaccinated?
Possibly if i’m being being honest. Always lots of holistic dentists dotted around though.

Wouldn’t expect it from Specsaves .

It is really awkward, and some colleagues have caring responsibilities for older parents so they are very concerned about Covid. I've just been going along with their assumptions that I'm vaccinated, but doing that feels wrong. I am known for being honest and saying what I think, so I feel like I'm not being true to myself. I almost want to just announce it in a team meeting just to stop hiding it, but Im worried about how colleagues will react and if I end up being the office pariah. I also don't want to get drawn into any conversations about vaccines or end up having to defend myself. That wouldn't be pleasant to work in every day.

Luckily my best friend is also not vaccinated, and a couple of other friends aren't either. My husband is vaccinated for health reasons and he doesn't give me any grief, nor I him. We both agree on how wrong Covid passports and mandatory vaccinations are.

I'll tell you my medical history if you tell me yours

Yeh that's a good idea, even if it's obvious Im changing the subject that should be the signal that I don't want to talk about it.

Hahaha hahahahaha hahahahaha of course they fucking won't!

The only person to ask me if I'm vaccinated was a work colleague just told the truth, no I'm not and I don't intend on getting them.... They were fine about it, but if I'm honest I wouldn't give a shit if they weren't it is absolutely nothing to do with them just like it's none of my business why they got the vaccines.
Just answer however you feel comfortable answering.
P. S I also believe I'm the only one at my work place or over 500 who is unvaccinated or at least in the only one that has revealed it, no one really knows who definitely has had the jabs.

Aghhhh god I’m finding the run up to Christmas so draining this year. At least last year we actually had lockdown restrictions, this time around I’m absolutely fed up with my friends cancelling everything we had planned and basically self imposing a lockdown.. I feel lonely and only see my other half and parents now, not even colleagues after WFH was brought back in. It’s the time of year to be out socialising and doing nice things - I wouldn’t mind if people wanted to modify plans like meeting outside or going to a quiet pub or cafe, but out and out cancelling everything? Stuck working from home now and have no plans to leave the house now before Christmas It’s depressing AF. Sorry to moan, just needed to get this off my chest

Advice please my nephew has tested positive he was tested today I saw him on Sunday. Should I book a PCR test myself or wait to be pinged? I’ve done a lateral flow and negative but I’m back at work on Friday so really can’t isolate but I’m off tomorrow. Someone help please

I think it depends on when his symptoms started as they only contact close contacts from 48 hours prior to testing (probably wrong!). Id keep testing yourself and if you develop symptoms then go for a PCR.
