Right? Having had a stroke she would have carers coming a few times a day to help her with everything from speech to physio. Shame they aren't doing this justice tbh.

It seems to be falling to Ryan to look after her. Not sure how he’s keeping up his role managing the Chariot Square whilst always being with Betsy, but he’s so lovely that I don’t mind him having more screen time!
I did think the scene where Lisa came home and found Dylan there was very well acted by everyone. Lisa’s anger, Ryan trying calm her and Betsy so distressed by her behaviour and pushing her hand away.

Ryan appears to have stepped into that role, which would be uncomfortable for me as he's a second cousin? Or something equally weird if he's helping her go to the bathroom.
'Betsy' herself (sorry, forgotten her real name) is doing a fantastic job with the difficult speech patterns and showing how exhausting what she can say is for her.
She is making a far better job of being a stroke patient than Marlon ever did in Emmerdale.
The fact Ross hasn't been hounded out of the Street following the revelations about underage sex and Tyrone's mum is astounding.
Fully agree with the critiques that this was a show that used to write strong, Northern women but now is quite happy to see them swept aside for iffy 'awareness' storylines that make no sense.
Even beyond the heyday of Ena Sharples and Elsie Tanner, you had fifteen years ago or so with Eileen and Julie's dad being revealed as an abuser and rightly shunned. That's how you do such storylines, not this Tyrone rit of late.

It's the most dangerous time and women (it mostly is women) need to seek help to do so.
I’m sick of them half arsing important storylines. I would have loved for Theo to have gone to jail & been punished for his crimes. Same with Geoff & his behaviour to Yasmine. Ross is an abuser & currently there is an epidemic of violence against women, particularly in NI. If they are going to attempt such a series subject, DO IT PROPERLY !! Give women hope that reporting these guys can end in a conviction. I swear to god they just give up half way through & just write more scenes for Lisa bloody Swain to be involved with !!
