Coronation Street #31

I know it's so overdone but I do hope Carl gets his redemption arc and stays on the street. He could be such a good regular character compared to a lot of the others, I mean, I zoned out and came back to Shaun with something on his head singing opera? Pair carl up with someone good (not fussed who, I wouldnt mind Glenda but i do like her thing of 'I'm happy without a man') and let him be happy for a change. Then he can be around to support Debbie.

On Home and Away last year, one character was diagnosed with dementia and decided to go on a round-the-world trip with a travel company that specialises in safe travel for people with dementia. But 4/5 woman can't keep an eye on Debbie for a week or two in Spain? Ronnie could tag along if that makes he feel more relaxed, but to cancel the whole thing for a spa day in the hotel she owns is bloody ridiculous. At least go to Blackpool or something equally tit.

They probably would have done the story if it was the old days, but ITV are said to be struggling so probably don’t have the money for that anymore

I assume because Sally was there- she’s his mum figure now
To be fair to him, with a nan like Bernie, I'd be heading straight to find her, she'd knock the lot of them out whilst drinking her cocktail.

I realised Friday's episode was directed by Reece Dinsdale, who played the brother of Jane Hazlegrove's (Bernie) character in Threads, a wonderful feel-good film (joke it's terrifying). Shame Bernie wasn't in Friday's ep!

Has anyone else noticed weird things with the dialogue lately, like Harry said something to Kit about liking having him around, he wouldn’t be leaving or something would he, and Kit says “not that I can help it” instead of not IF I can help it. Then Nick says “help him out fill in the forms” where help him out TO fill in the forms would seem more natural. It wasn’t like he left a pause like there was a comma between out and fill. Is the script ai now?

Yes I have!! There was another example, can't remember what it was but it made me sit up (think it was Nick too, actually). I have a theory that they have less budget and so they're having to keep in fluffed takes when there are only minor mistakes like the actors slightly messing up their words.

But it’s similar to the scenes, some look far too set up and not natural, there was one a couple of weeks ago in the cafe that looked like a year 7 school production.

I forgot Bernie was there- she’s been missing so long! It’s lovely he has the ladies in his life- I quite like Brody!

Also Will, what the hell is he playing at? whats going to happen with this story 🎮
