I hope not, how is that ‘unique’? Really? Said it before, what would be unique is that she went off, came back after actually sticking it out, then just staying with Dylan with no drama! That’d be far more unique than anything else

I'm hoping it's wrong and the casting call mentioned is for a different story entirely. But Corrie hates its girls going off to do stuff outside of the street, like normal post-grad people, the writers make them suffer to stay at home (Summer, Asha, Bethany, Amy...)I hope not, how is that ‘unique’? I totally agree. They'll all end up working in the factory, the hotel, the pub or the kebab shop. Amy will end up on the switch at Street Cars even though she's supposedly at college and what happened to Nina's college course? At least they've given Asha a proper career. I'm also pleased they've had Asha and Nina move in together. I always thought they needed the girls in a flat. Maybe Amy will move in with Summer?
Interesting. Not the potential storyline, but the casting call. It could be for Fizz, considering she keeps moaning about being dizzy and tired. I know they did an abortion storyline with her not long ago, but we know women in soaps can't just be rundown. Or Megan and she was lying about the abortion.

I believe Megan is gone and has been finished filming for a while. At least she’s got completely different hair now (red) and seems more free with what she posts

If it’s one of those cryptic pregnancies where it isn’t even obvious until the mother goes into Labour then Betsy would have had no reason not to drink beers.
I really really hope it’s not Hope. She has so much potential as a character and actress. I hope they don’t go down that route with her.
The trouble is in soaps they rarely show the reality of being a teen mother. On the programme it's all exciting for a bit then they briefly show the struggle of being a young mum then we don't see the child for months/years. And the mother just carries on as normal. Rarely any discussion of the day to day care or babysitting.
It's a bit of a sensational plot briefly but then it's just mega unrealistic. Largely because caring for a baby is quite boring to watch. So don't keep introducing that plot then

Not sure how true, but someone elsewhere was saying child laws have changed over the years. Makes sense as we used to see Bethany in Platt scenes all the time even in the background just playing
And presumably it’s Dylan’s, so why make the storyline about Betsy? Let him be a single dad up north while she’s down in London, while his dads up north with him, and his own mums down south

That could be their Christmas cliff hanger. Having another child on coronation street;, they are barely dealing with adult storylines that make sense. Writing her out in a dramatic way would take care of this.
Why the writers ever thought of giving Gemma, quads.
It needs a really brave producer to come in and just say, right next big stunt- blow up most of the street and start again
But the cobbles survive. As do the pub and maybe the paper shop? Who we saving?
