Off the subject a little, but I don't understand the scorn/dislike of the "Theo" actor.
I know he was convicted of a violent attack 14 years ago and served his sentence.

If you feel his punishment wasn't hard enough that's down to the courts.

If you feel he should not be employed because of his conviction, then society's structure that allows for criminals being rehabilitated would need changing.
Is that you James?

Christ Friday’s episode was so boring, I literally do not give a duck about Sam
I fast forwarded through the Sam bits. As for Jodie, what's is the point of her and her weird behaviour. Something else getting dragged out for no apparent reason that no one cares about.

I find Jodie annoying in that I can't grasp her motivation so it isn't interesting. Does she want to be friends with Shona or want to muck everything up for her? I can't tell.
With Carl you can see the conflict in his face and understand why he does things. Jodie has the same expression all the time not showing anything tbh. Maybe she's meant to be that enigmatic but I've lost interest now.

Exactly! Why is she cutting out Bernie's photo or wearing Ken's slippers? Why is she now antagonising Cassie? At this point it's just confusing and boring.

It was the same last week Cassie saying no for the kids to get the sweets then she gave them to them when Cassie back was turned what was the point of that? At this rate I’ll be skipping through the whole lot and only watching the credits

I asked someone this the other day and they were like well it's leading to Shona realising Jodie is weird. ... ooookay but that doesn't impact anything? If Jodie was involved in a high-stakes way, like (to borrow a bunch of soap storylines) going to be a surrogate for Shona and David, or about to marry a close friend of theirs, or about to adopt a child, or be David's new boss or something, then her being a weirdo would have a tangible effect.

"Sister I haven't seen for years turns out to be a bit weird" is a nothingburger.

Sometimes I can muster some grace for Sam, but most of the time he just looks like a blank cartoon owl who doesn't speak up when it actually matters and instead of being endearing, he is extremely annoying.

I don't mean the actor by any means, but Sam the character is so BORING.

How long is Harper staying in hospital? What was the point of this storyline when we never see David and Shona there? At least with Lauren and Frankie we saw lots of hospital scenes.

That's it - there doesn't seem to be any endgame with her. It's not building up to anything. She just wanders around doing *slightly* bizarre yet not very interesting things. I don't get why she hangs around the street anyway. All goes back to the character having no obvious motivation - which as @FenellaTheWitch says just makes it all confusing and boring.

I thought the cassie thing was to try and get a babysitting job after no longer looking after Connie

She’s more than a bit weird. She’s been abusive of their father with regards to his medications

There's Megan threatening to tell the police about Maggie killing her husband. Nothing has happened there. Or the ex wife kicking off about wanting Will...seems Maggie confessed and they both backed off.

Could it be the scriptwriters are amnesiacs on glue? Silly idea, then nothing comes of it, ever

If you were going to burn a thick notebook of potential incriminating evidence would you not burn it a page at a time rather than throwing a thick notebook whole on the bbq🤔 - ya kit gonna get himself some evidence 🤭
