Speaking of Yasmin, what happened to her? I’ve only just realised she’s not been in it for months.

That was powerful tv. Police should have called an ambulance and rode with him to the hospital. Then got his statement. Patients bleed out very quickly from splenic lacs and internal bleeding.

Garry was brilliant, even down to the gloves whilst holding the wrench🤩

Theory; the council will email; the new registrar had not completed all the paperwork for being able to legally marry. Therefore the marriage is voided.

I didn't like that episode. Todd's acting has been good to now but he wasn't very natural during the interview.

The fact they interviewed him without getting medical attention is unrealistic. As is the way they were totally believing Todd's story and talking about Theo as the violent culprit before finihing the investigation. (I know they know him personally so they obviously believe him it's just such a suspension of disbelief!) Lisa was acting more like a counsellor than a detective.

And the ending was cringeworthy with wise old Lisa's voiceover. It also seemed weird she kept saying 'she' and focussing on female victims when the whole storyline is about a male victim. Then throwing in honour abuse for good measure- just to make sure we all understand that all forms of abuse are bad, you know. It was trying to do too much.

Won’t a marriage be voided if it’s found someone had coerced a person into it?

It was cringey, but so was Gail’s speech after Aidan’s suicide and that won an award I believe? And I still got what they were trying to do, I think for me, it was because it was Lisa rather than an older or longer term character. Could’ve been Sarah I suppose.

I also thought the police interview scene with Todd wasn't very well acted. I do like Todd and his character but I struggled to watch that - Gareth seemed to be trying too hard

I’m hoping Theo’s ex that he saw that night in Canal Street will surface to make a statement about how Theo was controlling and abusive when they were together.
Same, and thanks for mentioning this as many comments were about how he wasn't abusive in the past.
Theo has a history (I know it's a t.v soap) of abuse. Even if he didn't physically assault his ex wife, he would be the type to punch walls and break her possessions.

I also thought that the way she responded to Sarah’s query about Theo’s temperament was defensive and certainly didn’t make me feel that he hadn’t hurt her. If anything, it felt like she was covering for him. Maybe he paid her off to keep quiet or maybe she’s still under his control in some way (or maybe it was just poor acting lol).

I think that if it wasn’t true, a more believable reaction would have been one of quiet curiosity, not vehement denial; he’s her ex and they split acrimoniously.

i always think this in soapsw, although i had a family member in hosipital recently and was shocked at how long visiting hours were. always thought that they were just a couple of hours, it was much longer than i thought.

Agree!! I have been using it for a while now. I buy off Amazon 👍🏻.
It’s not cheap in my opinion but it’s better than the others on the shelves.

It very much depends on the ward tbh. When my Mum was in hospital (and she was in and out for the last couple of years of her life) it would vary. Some where as long as something like 12pm until 8pm and others could be 3-5pm then 6-8pm around meal times. Some had 2 visitors at a time and some would be 4.

In soapland however , they seem to have access all day long and as many people as they like around the bed.

I thought he played it perfectly.

Right down to his feet being "bent over" as he was being interviewed. That tiny thing was so poignant to me, he was like a small child scared, lost and confused.

Todd was defeated, exhausted, slumped, feeling guilty and defending his abuser. Totally true to life in my experience.

Yes they made him look very small and defeated. I thought it was excellent.

I love Gary. Loved the wrench.
