I have to say I'm surprised that Sally hasn't mentioned how Rosie was groomed by Stape when she was a 16 year old schoolgirl. Or am I misremembering that storyline? It's entirely possible as I wasn't a regular watcher back then.
You are slightly misremembering it.

When it started Rosie was working at the factory as an assistant and Stape was giving Sally private English lessons. Rosie then seduced him but I think it ended.

She later decided she wanted to go back to Weathy High school just so she could be in the same place that Stape was working in to seduce him again. At this point Stape should have made sure nothing else happened between them as he was now in a position of seniority but they started it up again

So technically he didn’t groom her as she did all the running in the beginning when she wasn’t a pupil at his school but once she started back at school, he should have made sure it never happened again

A discreet chat in the bistro for Sarah and Theo's wife. Bound not to be seen.
Everyone's private, discreet chats always take place in the cafe, rovers bistro... Just so someone can overhear

You wouldn't pop into the workplace of your partner to discuss confidential, private matters either, but everyone on corrie does.

Does Theo still have that edited version of Todd making him to be the abuser? Billy saw the real footage on the laptop but I assume that went up in the mini bus fire.

But then if they went somewhere discreet Theo couldn't barge in at the critical moment before Sarah got the information out of Danielle ... ;)

I find it so frustrating the way tech works in Soapworld. In the real world you’d just download the content of previous laptop from the cloud wouldn’t you?

I’m wandering it mal kills jodie. Can’t see anyone else having motive, whereas the others have a list of people that have motive to do it

I’m thinking Summer will be heavily involved in the murder story. She’s got ties to both Theo (abusing Todd, killed Billy) and Carl (thinks he killed Billy).

Summer really has no reason to be kept on as a character. And the way Betsy was so freaked out upon discovering “the body” made me think it was someone young, like her (no idea what age Summer is meant to be)

Summer isn’t in the line up for the 5 victims

I've thought it's going to be a massive cop out ... they need a character we sort of know to do the killing and one who isn't a major player for the victim.

Mal and Jodie fill those roles. I think I posted a page or two ago that Jodie getting murdered may explain Betsy being so upset because she at least knows Jodie. She's had nothing to do with any of the others.

Theo and Carl are part of two massive storylines which viewers need a satisfactory out come for. The people likely to kill Theo or Carl would be massive Corrie regulars and that's not happening.

James Cartwright said a long time ago, in a TV interview, that Theo had never hit his wife. Only Todd (and the ex bf ofc). Of course that could change, given the writers change it up all the time. But that is, at least, what James Cartwright had been told, as backstory, at that time.

Doeesnt mean she can’t be involved in the murder mystery, as a suspect, killer or witness. Aside from people speculating beyond the original list all day long on here and elsewhere

Why would Todd have hidden his money in someplace so obvious and accessible as the tea tin? Doesn’t he have a desk at work where Theo would have no access and be very unlikely to discover it?

Summer could kill either Theo or Carl, be sent down, and not be missed at all. We know Theo is leaving, and not likely to return as a character. Even if recast the role would still be tainted by the Cartwright legacy.

As much as I dislike Carl, I think he will have to be kept around for Debbie’s dementia storyline. Perhaps even given a redemption arc if he helps caretake for her

I don’t see them killing off a big name actress like Maggie. Plus Debbie’s got to have something to do with the murder storyline, or why else bring her out of prison specifically as they ramp that up? So the murder mystery leans away from the Megan storyline.

I see Megan more as going to prison eventually. For a vile criminal like her, the viewers need to know she will be kept in misery for many years (much like Lisa’s ex Becky is)

I don’t think Jodie will be killed. When is the next Corriedale crossover? Surely they would need her for that. And we need the dad brought in, to learn more about what she’s been doing to him. So Shona would have to go see the father and have a chat. And she’s too busy having lunches and not visiting her baby in NICU to spare the time. Many people would have reason to be angry with Jodie (if all her weird actions were discovered) but not enough to justify them wanting to kill her.

Mal is just an annoying short term character. I heard that the flat above Roys will catch fire due to faulty electrics. If that is true, and someone is hurt from that, my thoughts may change. No doubt there is something dodgy about Mal’s rewiring work and, hopefully, he will go to prison for causing the fire and be gone from our lives! I see Mal leaving but not as part of the main murder mystery.

Anybody would be upset if they found a dead body, especially if it’s obvious they’ve been murdered, regardless of whether you knew or were close to the victim or not

@Trixie747 there are no plans for another Corriedale. As far as I remember it was just a one off to launch the new soap “power hour”. I don’t think it was going to be a regular thing

On Twitter Sam has been mentioned to kill Megan as he is hallucinating and may do it unintentionally.

I wondered Carl as he's finally becoming close to Debbie - He's killed by Theo for revealing that he left Billy to die.

I would like it to be Jodie as I just don't like her or think she is needed.
