I hope that's true and it's to a cell in Strangeways! Doubt it's anything to do with the conviction, though, as the producer would have taken action when it became public. Actors have been binned off for less and, given the storyline, I'm surprised he was cast in the first place.
I hope Megan doesn’t get killed and gets jailed for being a pledo, then gets killed in jail, that’s better justice for what she’s done. Although Maggie keeps going on about what she would do for her boys so maybe she kills her
Corrie rep told The Sun they were EMBARRASSED they had cast James Cartwright as Theo, given his GBH past!
Hence, Theo is leaving. Though they are still letting him stay to film final scenes So, was he scheduled to leave at this time anyway and now Corrie management are just trying to use his already planned exit as a PR opportunity?

I wonder if Daniel will be placed under suspicion, due to his close association with Megan? Yes, we know he hasn't done anything wrong, but the school may have a policy to suspend and investigate him. Being closely associated with a pedalo is not a good look for a teacher!

His real life conviction has nothing to do with the reason he’s leaving I’m sure. The nature of his character meant he was always going to have a short shelf life.
If you read the full article in The Sun it doesn’t say the conviction is the reason he’s leaving.
They’ve thrown in talk about his conviction to make his leaving sound more dramatic than what it is
If he was leaving because of them finding out about his real life conviction, they would have axed him a lot earlier than now and not doubled down on his character’s abusive actions on screen knowing the full facts about the actor’s real life history

There is an article in Digital Spy that says he always knew that he was in for finite amount of time and what the story arc was. It is nothing to do with his conviction.

We know he hasn't done anything wrong yet. He pushed Ken down the stairs for convincing Sinead to have an abortion, if he finds out he's exposed his son to a paedophile he might sna

It definitely won’t look good on him, with staff and pupils at the school.
But like everything else that happens in soaps it will soon be forgotten and hardly if ever mentioned again.

I’m sorry. I just don’t get a good vibe of this man at all in real life either.
He comes across very stuck up, cocky, elated, and “I’m the man”.
He seems to love being the centre of attention in photos with the cast and his t-shirt at the Corriedale premier was very strange given the event. Ultimately, he, like Theo, loves validation and attention. He loves being interviewed and people coming up for photos.
Therefore, I’m surprised he’s not on social media. I wonder if he was before Corrie. I think he’s smart enough to know the hate he would get having the conviction and storyline.
Actors on Corrie have been let go/not cast in the first place for alleged offences like poor Martin Platt and then this one gets a role despite a conviction with proof via CCTV.
I know Gareth (Todd) said on This Morning he liked working with him but wonder if that’s his real opinion. Gareth seems shy, reserved, and cautious off camera. I wonder do they interact much between scenes…
Couldn’t believe/remember he had been in Tracy Beaker but then again it was 2002, people age (unless you’re Dani who looks the same) and he’s obviously (like everyone in the industry) had work done on his face/hair.
I can’t get past the fact Corrie hired him for such a role given what he had done. Is there no background checks or what in the UK?
It just doesn’t feel like he has to do much to get into character. Off camera he seems the exact same as “happy Theo”. In saying all that, I think he’s pretty scary and plays the part very well.

It’s a huge red flag that, with all his talent (I do think he is talented and agree plays Theo very well) and experience, his main job is on the radio on The Archers. He can’t possibly be making the same there as he would in television or film.
He's rum. He beat a guy and seriously injured him, then lied to cover up. Won't take much method acting to play any violent roles. Not a nice human. Not a good role model

Had a search on Wiki and it seems excluding Corrie (180 episodes) and Tracey Beaker (41 episodes), everything else he’s appeared in over the last 23 years has been one-off/ a couple of single episodes, or short TV films.
From that Wiki page, it comes across that for the past 20+ years he’s been struggling as an actor to land any long-termwork and the roles he’s had are very minor.
He didn’t have any significant roles at all before Corrie and even then he’ll be leaving after only a year. I don’t see him getting work given the media he’s been getting in relation to the assault.
I’ve no idea what the archers is or how popular it is, just had a quick search and there’s thousands upon thousands of episodes. So it’s a radio drama - is he a main character in that?
Really Corrie is his first significant acting job.
I can’t imagine he’d ever have been staying long term anyway. Not with the storyline he has
