What's mr Lee replacement out of? I'm sure I've seen him in something
From 2015 to 2017 he played Captain Henshawe in BBC drama Poldark. John also starred in Doc Martin, alongside Martin Clunes, from 2017 to 2021 as Professor Sam Bradman.
Other TV appearances include Call The Midwife, Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Beyond Paradise and Vera. And heading over to the States, John bagged a role in the 2017 Hollywood blockbuster Transformers: The Last Knight, playing Tristan.

Thanks it's from Poldark and Doc Martin I know him from!
Ps love how the Platts don't give a crap about David!

What’s with all the weird camera angles? Corrie has really lost its way, it’s so dark and unrealistic. It used to be funny with proper enjoyable characters

I’ve watched the episode this evening on ITV1 but I don’t understand what this comment relates to
I wanted to ask this too!! I watched earlier but thought I’d wait until after it was on ‘real time’ 😂
Kept waiting for him to do something stupid!!

Why would a top surgeon travelling to another city stop off at a back street residential area greasy spoon cafe - then return back later on.

Also what was the comment about him being gay?

I agree but it's not the most unrealistic of the recent stories

I did laugh when Sarah was saying about Carla not away sipping cocktails and the response was "you weren't to know she'd been kidnapped by a psycho".... well, it wasn't the first time so, maybe you should have considered it 😂😂😂

He popped in for a pasty or whatever, then I think he may have realised he’d upset Bernie by mentioning Billy was gay as he’d read it in the newspaper? Maybe he thought she thought he’d been offensive? Then he’d been thinking about the pasty all day so went back to get one. I dunno, more unrealistic things have happened 🤣. Then fan theories go wild and start claiming he’s gay, well we’ve lost two gay characters in Paul and Billy, and Theo and Becky aren’t gonna last long,so got to get the quota up I suppose 🤣

I think he was gay - when he was on the phone/listening to birthday message from home, there was the voice of a child and one of a man?

Oh the ending with Bernie saying a line from the ‘played every year at the end of Jools Hootenanny’ song made me bawl.

It’s good to see because Corrie’s success was built on strong women characters over the years, Elsie Tanner, Annie Walker, Ena Sharples, Hilda Ogden, Bet Lynch.
And this girl gang really do seem to have the right chemistry for some welcome distraction from the doom and gloom storylines.
I really want a night out with these ladies 🥂🍻🍹
I second that. No strong women left. And the story lines are unbelievable. They should vut Carla and girlfriend. Stupid story line. Also keep Debbie she the best actor in the show. Love the girls toilet scene. Its gone to serious and no fun anymore. No fights in the street. Miss that. Must be looking at corrie 50 years. Xxxx
