Ok so here's my theory, Debbie had Carl young, her mum/elaine made her give him up/give to her for whatever reason. Debbie found out Carl was mistreated by Elaine, and decided to hide the truth about her cancer out of spite
….And has been misdiagnosed with dementia so she believes she ‘forgot to call Elaine’…. We can but dream. Otherwise her demise is probably going to be the saddest since Hayley’s
What do we think the link is between Debbie and Elaine, why did Elaine raise Carl and not Debbie’s mum?
Elaine is Carl’s mum. She was Debbie & Kevin’s dad’s 2nd (?) wife
There is speculation online that maybe
Debbie is really Carl’s mum and as Debbie was only a teenager at the time, Elaine & Bill offered to bring him up as their own

Because Debbie was living with her dad (Bill) and Elaine, his second (or maybe third) wife at the time Carl was born
Debbie’s mum was already dead when the Websters, Bill and his teenage children Kevin and Debbie moved to the street, Bill later married Elaine and they moved to Southampton and later Germany… Debbie moved with them and we were later led to believe that Elaine was pregnant.

That is a really interesting point, although Theo does make misogynistic comments and his ex wife has hinted at abuse.

Finally caught up on Fridays episode. I cried my eyes out - think I’ve had too much sherry over Christmas. Glad it’s unraveling for Carl and I want to throttle bloody Theo!

I always wish they’d reference old friends etc at events in soaps - Debbie’s bridal party were (apart from Sally) a mixed bag she’s known for 5 minutes. Where were her mates? At least pretend your old school friend and best mate of 50 years is abroad and can’t get back!

Aw I have quite liked the scenes with all the girls rallying round Debbie. They seemed to all be having a laugh which is nice to see
They have been great scenes - and the genuine friendship comes through. Must be a right laugh filming
I absolutely LOVED the toilet scene! The girls having a giggle and a gossip, doing touch ups in the mirror and Bernie sat on the loo it’s great to see some real life situations and light hearted fun! I love the girl gang they’ve got going on 🩷
