I was about to comment the same. He referenced Danielle as being the same as Todd and I wonder if there is abuse in his previous relationship but it may have been emotional or psychological abuse which is why you get people fighting over a man like Theo. He love bombs then when he’s ‘got’ them, the love/affection becomes breadcrumbs and the victims do anything to get a little bit of love or affection. Which is why it’s weird to an outsider when a situation occurs where they could leave the relationship but instead they are fighting to save it.
As said before, incredibly complex and most cases the victims are so low in confidence and self worth that they rarely leave as they don’t see they deserve better sadly
