It would be great to see a character actually leave instead of it inevitably ending in a tragedy of some sort. Again, it is depicting real life for some, but they could show someone not putting up with this tit
I think Theo was hinting at harming himself (from memory) when Todd said he wasn’t happy, then he provoked that fight where everyone ended up blaming Todd for hurting him.Me too but I'm also so frustrated with Todd for not leaving. I guess that mirrors real life and how people feel when they have a loved one in a similar situation. And I know it's often due to fear but that doesn't really seem to be the case with Todd and Theo. Todd has already said he doesn't want to be with him. Just tell him to do one and go to Billy or George's for a bit.
Just reading this had me shouting profanities at my phone.Alright Cocker![]()
George gave the big house to Glenda when they had the dispute over Archie's will. She apparently rents it out. I'm not sure if she's still living in the pub with the Driscolls. Eileen still owns the house in Coronation Street and George and Mary live there and Christine recently moved in too.Yeah I think George still has that big house of his own but pretty much lives in Eileen's house. Does Mary still live there as well? Well I'm sure they'd still find room for Todd anyway![]()
I caught a bit of it the other night and that cold dread you feel when someone drops you in it over someone you used to fancy when you were single, a pop star you liked or even if you’re seen chatting to a member of the opposite sex… I remember it only too well.As someone who has been where Todd is, there are a million reasons you might stay. Sometimes it’s fear, sometimes it’s because you have nowhere else to go but often it’s a lot more complex than just being one reason. If it was that easy, we would all leave as soon as we noticed the issue.
My ex was not exactly a catch but I was vulnerable and he briefly seemed like a good idea. We were only together 6 weeks before I was scared of him.I think the fact Theo had no redeeming features from the get go and him and Todd weren't even together than long before the abuse started is whats making Todd stay seem unrealistic
Danielle is also really mad with Theo and the split, but never mentioned abuse or a temperI think the fact Theo had no redeeming features from the get go and him and Todd weren't even together than long before the abuse started is whats making Todd stay seem unrealistic
His other boyfriends, even though he told Todd he'd never had a boyfriend before, have mentioned abuse. He saves it for the men because he hates himself for being gay. Makes a nice change, I suppose; a man taking out his internal hatred for himself on other men rather than women.Danielle is also really mad with Theo and the split, but never mentioned abuse or a temper
Isn't that the equivalent of saying "he didnt hit me so he didnt hit you"?Danielle is also really mad with Theo and the split, but never mentioned abuse or a temper
It’s hardly a “nice” change. He shouldn’t be taking his hatred out on anyone: male or femaleHis other boyfriends, even though he told Todd he'd never had a boyfriend before, have mentioned abuse. Agree, this was an odd take,It’s hardly a “nice” change. He shouldn’t be taking his hatred out on anyone: male or female
Sorry, don’t think my post was being flippant- I know it’s not that simple, but for the sake of it being a soap, it might be ‘nice’ to show us someone not putting up with it and the perpetrator being outcast in the street- and not being redeemed as a good person if the actors contract has been extended!!As someone who has been where Todd is, there are a million reasons you might stay. Sometimes it’s fear, sometimes it’s because you have nowhere else to go but often it’s a lot more complex than just being one reason. My comment was replying to a post about Danielle having never accused Theo of being abusive. I was pointing out that it's "nice" to see a different portrayal of domestic violence rather than one that makes females the victim by default. Granted "nice" probably wasn't the right word; I didn't mean it in the "pleasing" sense, more like "interesting" to see it played out between two men.Agree, this was an odd take,
Precisely this, if a friend of mine found out her partner had done the dirty on her and with a man then it would take us ages to get past the fact that he cheated WITH A MANSurprised, during the Tracy & Abi chat, that there was no mention of Carl’s affair being with a man and neither Abi or Tracy knowing that Carl was also into men. Tracy called James a “sneaky little scamp” but there was no ‘but he’s a man?’
