“An incident” so just one was enough. Must be the window thing which tied up with what CM said. They took her children because she ‘fell’ out of a window. Maybe she doesn’t even recognise it was DV herselfDV is why the care order was made
Do we know that the campervan even existed? I'm wondering whether she told authorities they were living in a campervan instead of a tent as this would be deemed more appropriate? Why would you sleep in a tent when you had a camper van? Even if it wasn’t working.
Apart from the other disadvantages of the tent, it’s not secure.
Could it be impounded due to unroadworthyness or outstanding fines.
I think I read somewhere, that there was loads of parking tickets for the camper van.Do we know that the campervan even existed? I'm wondering whether she told authorities they were living in a campervan instead of a tent as this would be deemed more appropriate?
I think MG was reported to have been working as a labourer and living in a small house/flat in ilford around the time they met and she moved in with him. If thats true he went from having a job and a roof over his head to living in a tent and unemployed after he met CM. Its a strange one! Of course they were bumming around on her trust fund payments but it could be viewed that he had served his time, was living a relatively normal life working etc and was doing his best to keep his head down and she turned all that on its head! Just another view of it on the little info we have on MG unless his KC has something along those lines to try blame it all on her.I can see why MG may prefer to live outside of society/whatever you call choosing to live in a tent in the woods. In the context of his earlier lengthy incarceration, there’s probably a certain amount of trauma around feeling trapped etc and I can see why choosing to live outside may come a result of that.
What I don’t get is why CM lived like that. The only way I can understand it is in the context of DV relationships where parents decide to stay together even when children’s services tell the parents that their child will be removed unless they separate.
Yes, but I wonder what’s fuelling that? Some of Mark Gordon’s police interviews and their belief that SS have authority if you stay somewhere for more than 3 days makes me think that they believe in the freeman of the land type stuff.
Yes I agree.I think CM and MG didn't believe in contraceptive and as a result CM was permanently pregnant. The non stop babies wouldn't have helped with the caring of the existing children.
Doll's house, I also noticed that the reason CM and MG left their baby was to attend a courthearing, which puts a different spin on the "abandonment".
If there is domestic violence, CM's KC must be desperate to use it, to suggest she was in an abusive relationship to scared to challenge him.
I’m sure there was mention of a large amount of fines for a camper van,Do we know that the campervan even existed? I'm wondering whether she told authorities they were living in a campervan instead of a tent as this would be deemed more appropriate?
So the devoted parents left their baby in hospital in order to attend this family court hearing...and then Mummy Bear refused to have a covid test when she came back?I think CM and MG didn't believe in contraceptive and as a result CM was permanently pregnant. It isn’t excusing that she left. I for one made an assumption that she’d flounced off back to him. It doesn’t make it okay, it’s just understanding that the reason is not what was first thoughtSo the devoted parents left their baby in hospital in order to attend this family court hearing...and then Mummy Bear refused to have a covid test when she came back?
I wonder if there's proof that they were in fact present in court for this hearing? I doubt it after all this time but I could be doing them a disfavour. Just seems out of character for them to want to comply with any authority. It isn’t excusing that she left. I for one made an assumption that she’d flounced off back to him. Child II was born 2021 or early 2022 - and by December ‘22 she was full term with Victoria. They might have avoided contact specifically to conceal her pregnancy. It has to be drugs. What other reason could there be for not turning up for contact? And the chaos and lack of self care. I’m trying to remember with other awful cases whether it came out during the trial or after that the parents were drug addled degenerates. I’m sure there are some where the full extent was only apparent afterwards. There’s always an awful lot more after the trial than what we hear during it. And given the huge sensitivities here with the other children I’m not surprised not much info is getting out.
I’ve also been on the fence with Victoria not having any warm clothes etc and thinking just because they’re not specifically mentioned it doesn’t necessarily mean she didn’t have them. But based on what was said today it does seem more likely than not
The tent is interesting too. We have a bell tent and we have a wood burner for it. You could conceivably live quite contentedly in it. But I wonder if “festival tent” means the tiny pop up ones you take to a festival?
Good question.I wonder if there's proof that they were in fact present in court for this hearing? I doubt it after all this time but I could be doing them a disfavour. Just seems out of character for them to want to comply with any authority.
I just thought the way it had been reported in the past made it sound like they had just abandoned the baby, when actually they did have a good reason to leave. I'm not making excuses for them, they should have come straight back and had the covid test done.So the devoted parents left their baby in hospital in order to attend this family court hearing...and then Mummy Bear refused to have a covid test when she came back?

I can’t see how it could be drugs at the start, with the first baby. CM was in a foster placement with the baby and then they had full parental responsibility given back to them.
Same here on the clothes.
I also thought a bell tent - it’s not clear

Good question.
They (or at least she) did comply with Child FF though, enough to be deemed okay to be signed off from SS supervision.
