I don’t follow Rachel so I’m not up with the details but why is this a gross thing? Fully aware that she is a newborn who has just left the ICU, however in terms of catching anything she’s actually at a higher risk of doing so in the hospital itself than from the community.Yeah like who cares about preemies with underdeveloped immune systems? Rachel is a totally different person now, she’s constantly out mixing with people. Just not being “covid safe” which is why she is barely with family anymore. She’d rather be with her girlfriend and her girlfriends friends, she has said now her girlfriend has gone home for the holidays she will now be back with her family though.
I think this time away from the whole clan will have been good for her, although a shock to our viewing senses. As GF & brother near (what a deal nickname!) both work in the real world it must have been a real learning curve. In her podcast she mentioned that Matt never left the house so they were permanently quarantined - that can't have been great either.
I thought Rachel was already isolating to go visit family anyway. I think the fact that Maisie had just come was just a coincidence. Could be wrong though…
Update- just checked and it was in her Living On A Boat vlog that Rachel said she and girlfriend were isolating so both of them would be safe to celebrate Christmas with their families. Girlfriend has gone home now and Rachel is spending Christmas with the Ballinger’s. I wouldn’t be surprised if she stays at Colleens to help with the babies, plus I think Rachel’s house is a lot further away now. I’m sure if Rachel felt unwell in any way she would’ve stayed away- she is an aunt to many kids so she’ll know babies immune systems are non existent!
Just want to add that I do have a soft spot for Rachel, I know that. In my eyes she is the most tolerable of all the Ballingers (other than Trent who seems who total sweetheart). Yes, she has made mistakes but I feel she handles them better than her sister. I’m not going to judge her for having holidays during the pandemic when legally she was allowed to and you could see she was adhering to the rules. Just wanted to get that off my chest.

I honestly can't stand Rachel. She's not as bad as Colleen obviously, but she comes off to me like almost as much of a mean girl.

What?! “With her grandma Gwen” what has that got to do with anything. Also it’s not bad because just going by the video when she went in and told the doctors and nurses “Maisy needs to come home by Christmas” how rude and entitled.
Yeah I was appalled by the “mama bear advocating”. Advocating for what? To get a vulnerable preemie home so she can make content? No less by passing the baby between relatives amidst the Omicron outbreak? It’s disgusting.
Yeah exactly. She can’t accept she’s a middle aged stay at home mom of three. She just can’t, and that results in her mental disorders. After the euphoria of the twins wears off (aka the stream of revenue coming from exploiting them), she has absolutely nothing to offer. I just had a vision of the future where preteen Maisy has her little friends over and their fun gets ruined when Colleen bursts in her room decked out in one of Maisy's shirts because she is still like super tiny despite having 3 kids, camera and phone in hand to ask the girls if they wanna make tik toks (or whatever the future equivalent is) with her cause back in the day she sure made some bangers and can all you girls go ahead and give her a follow on social media?

It's more likely that she understated how well Maisy was doing so she could have a big reveal.
It was so funny to me during the twin nursery reveal video they have lighting that forms a scorpio sign and her first thought was "omg i'm a scorpio!!" and not the babies lmao.
The covid bit is completely untrue. You cannot just catch any virus from someone merely walking past you outdoors. Omicron is infectious but it is spreading because it’s winter, everyone is indoors & seeing people over the holidays etc. She is categorically not putting them at risk from covid outdoors.
And yes, I fully believe in covid, im triple vaxxed, I wear a mask etc etc etc ..
Theyre preemies. Who just got out of the NICU. She should be limiting the amount of people she's seeing and NOT leaving her house.

You fail to allow for the Southern hemisphere being in summer right now and omicron still spreading as easily there as the Northern hemisphere countries experiencing winter. Australia's stats (particularly Sydney) are awful.
Colleen has such lack of awareness - I watched part of one vlog yesterday where she had them together in a bassinet downstairs. She gave a very noble speech about being so aware about safe sleeping and she only had them like that because she was watching them every second etc, but she isn't watching them every second because she is looking directly at the camera vlogging. She isn't being careful at all, and it's quite sad really that her idea of being a present parent is to have a camera and to be vlogging. That isn't being a present parent.

I find it confusing people would be talking about how wrong it is to not have wanted Maisy home, but then to say she deserves to be home with her Grandma. Like... not with her parents? The fact that one would think her grandma is the one who is deserving of having her home instead of her mother is just an extension of why someone wouldn't be psyched about Colleen getting her way.
Not me watching Drew's video and being excited about Flynn's reaction to the room only to have miss Colleen show it to him beforehand cause she couldn't wait. And just basically ruined what could have been a very wonderful reveal video for Drew. Why am I even shocked.
