The French Police have the right idea.
Unfortunately our Police are too 'wet' towards troublemakers but not towards those who stand up to them.
It is little wonder many (including myself) think the Police are effing useless.
Whereas I agree with the sentiment I think it will be hell difficult to sue Just Stop Oil as I doubt they are an incorporated entity with an identifiable ownership or management structure. Who therefore would you actually sue? I suppose you could seek damages from the individuals involved as a proxy, but do you really really want to create martyrs and be the big business victimising the underdog? Because that is how it will be portrayed and in the age of crowd funding that's at least 200k in a defence fund.
At lot of these companies have boxed themselves into a corner by making numerous virtue signalling statements about their green credentials. Not a good look if one hand your website is screaming sustainability on on the other you are suing people who on their day in court will argue that is what they are protesting about.

Seems like it, as I can't make sense of any of it.
I suspect they are referencing the Sarah Everard case. Not entirely sure why though as last time I looked Wayne Couzens was serving a life sentence having been caught through some very quick, efficient, and effective police work.

A senior police officer murdered his wife a few streets away from me and tried to make it look like an accident. I got the impression from what was reported that he thought his status in the force would keep him out of jail. Luckily the courts saw it differently. I felt really bad for the adult kids.

They should be dragged off whatever road/bridge etc they are on and dumped in a field. Those spraying paint need to be charged and made to clean if off by hand.
Murdering someone and attempting to cover it up is pretty standard practice, and not a trait unique to police officers who kill. And if he thought he would be protected he was very wrong. I was a policeman for many years and believe me nothing, and I mean nothing, is more hated on the job than a corrupt officer. I can only speak for my old force, but the second Couzens, or the man in the example above, emerged as a suspect there would be a team working around the clock to bring them down. No matter how senior.
Who do you think carried out the investigation, arrested the guilty man, and provided the evidence which allowed the courts to reach that conclusion? Well I assume we all know who.
I said the way it was reported, that was the impression given. I’ve no doubt the officers involved in the investigation acted with professionalism, hence the conviction.
I love the way the German police turned out the lights in the VW plant and left the idiots glued to the floor for the night.

The company I worked with years ago had Greenpeace protesters chain themselves to railings high up on one of their vessels. They left them overnight until they got cold and hungry (and had pissed themselves).

China produces 11.6 billion tons of co2 annually!
They insist on making our lives hell, when the UK is not even a top contributor to co2 emissions worldwide.
