Her rant was so bizzare to me. Why the comparisons between Bondi and Gaza? Both are terrible. Who is she following that she thinks no one is talking about Gaza, I follow many people who post about it far more intelligently and compassionately than she does. Tell everyone how awful and racist they are, that will get them on board 🙄
She obviously thinks she's made a really profound and important point. Not only did she do a multi-story rant, she's turned it into a feed post and also dedicated a podcast episode to it. In dedication I suggest she changes the pod name from Untethered to Unhinged. As if the female population is going to rise up in response to her snide, nasty posturing. The only impact she's having is within her own fangirl echo-chamber that feeds her delusion that she can single hand-idly solve a middle eastern crisis that has existed in some form for hundreds of years.

She makes me absolutely sick. Of course people getting murdered by a crazy guy with a knife in my own country (i.e close location to my family the shopping centre some attend) is going to affect me! We are allowed to be shocked and grieve. This comment by her is disgusting. She has certainly gotten on with her own life in the past few months: that Taylor Swift singing thing, the panel where she pranked people, numerous selfies and walks and rants. Not sure what else as I don’t follow anymore but she’s not been sitting in a corner crying.

Of course the images from overseas are shocking, sad and troubling and she’s the one reposting them like it’s war porn. What does she think her reposting has actually achieved?? Clem has absolutely hyper focused on Palestine to the point that she’s completely obsessed. View attachment 2878550

Fight for these children?? HOW? Resharing someone’s IG post?
This is the heart of the whole thing for me. All these people (mostly women, depressingly) whipping themselves into a completely irrational frenzy over a complex, millennia-long geopolitical conflict they clearly don’t understand, begging and pleading for people to “help” with completely meaningless indulgent empty gestures. Why did they not give a tit about any of the other miserable wars and global tragedies affecting children/innocents?

It’s kind of mesmerising to watch, in a terrible way. As if I didn’t feel awful enough for the people of Gaza already, it’s somehow amplified by the quality of their advocates over here.

Exactly this! And Clem employing such vitriol towards those who aren't following her example is just insane and speaks to her totally overblown ego.

So much this. At this point Clementine's brand is now screaming at her followers that they're racists who don't care as much as she does... and having expensive facials. It's so crazy. Her activism is all performance and narcissism.

The Clementine of five years ago would have been all over the Bondi stabbings. A man deliberately trying to kill as many women as he could? Any feminist would have something to say about that. But not Clementine. Her black-and-white thinking won't allow any nuance, any compassion for more than one world event. No wonder she's losing followers.

You've articulated it beautifully. In my sphere, the only people still posting relentlessly about Gaza are privileged middle class white women who intersperse horrific shares with selfies wearing scarves or pashminas and reminders to do more, care more, and that you're an awful person/worse than them at the very least if you're not. Sorry, where was your voice before? This isn't a new conflict? And I'm yet to see you weigh in on any other atrocity? It's starting to feel like a fashion statement at this stage hun.

And YOU'RE NOT ACTUALLY ACHIEVING ANYTHING. They really think they are, though 🤯

Social media has made people weird(er).

Didn't she have a huge rant a while back about how it's OK for her to have fillers/injections/botox/facials because, um, reasons?

I cannot imagine paying $12 a month to read her rants on bleeping Tarot.

Yes to all of this. My god the wearing of pashminas and shawls would be funny if it wasn’t so sad and bizarre.

Look, I may not agree with the way Clementine is going about things, and she is verging on unhinged. However, Mia freedman’s sheer hypocrisy is next level today, and goes to prove one of the points Clementine has been making. That women like Mia (not all women but women like Mia, who literally claim to represent women and be front and centre in modern feminism) - that she can send an email about Bondi. LITERALLY saying she cares because ‘he took the lives of those six people who were just like us.’ Just like us.

Not like those nasty people on the other side of the world.

“ and yet I lie awake at night and imagine them.”

But no words for the thousands and THOUSANDS of children who have been killed.

Where's Clem on the new Taylor Swift album? Does she hate Taylor still for being a white privileged woman who dated matty healy, or does she like her because she made money touring a warbling cover show? Has she made up her mind?

Wait are we just allowed to publicly call people names like that - Zionist racist etc. 😅
Zionist isn’t a rude word, just a fact which depending on who is using it, has judgement attached. But when you add it to those other words, it very much is meant to be an insult.

I mean, she is assuming Mia is a Zionist (which is probably fair given estimates suggest more than 70% of Australian Jews are, and those that are not are perhaps more vocal about their support of a ceasefire or Palestine more generally).

I was shocked at how hard she is coming down on Mia but I guess she would be the most popular ‘voice of white women’ in Australia??

The hypocrisy and contradictions with this one is alarming!! Clem literally just made money from a show based on Taylor Swift. Now she hates her after defending her and allowing it to be the one white women she could see past the privilege? Clem needs to step off social media and spend some time back in reality with her child. She is losing so much credibility with her flip flopping of what's right and wrong every day and the aggressive abuse towards people who don't agree with her on that given day.
