Mia is bloody awful - I don't respect her as a journo at all.

I don't want to derail this thread but the hypocrisy of Mia calling out people for staying silent, while she has stayed silent all the times Israel has been accused of war crimes, and when Palestinian civilians have been caught up in it.

I don't condone any of it, and it's awful the more I see, there is no good take. But calling out people for not commenting is so pretty and unhelpful - what does it gain in this situation?

Personally I found this post by Saint Hoax (see her page for the rest) to make a lot of sense to me. Don’t want to get into any debate just showing an example of someone’s post condemning ALL acts of violence.

Does she? I've never seen her put a trigger warning about food. On other random things though.

I was unsure on this one but then Clem shared the actual message from the follower who said she'd been triggered by Clementine's content for weeks. Seriously just hit the unfollow button. If you don't like what someone is sharing click unfollow (or mute). IG is free and at some point we need to take responsibility for the content we consume. If you aren't enjoying something for weeks - you can stop looking.

I was on the followers side until I saw the message and I flipped to Clementine side. I just went back to screenshot and she must have deleted the story with the message

Also, the follower said they’ve been following for weeks, well if they didn’t like what they were seeing why is it on Clem to change. The follower should just unfollow.

Clem is one of the few influenza’s on SM who is trying to show/share posts about the real destruction and genocide happening in Palestine right now. People need to unfollow if they are having such traumatic and triggering responses to her shared posts for weeks.

What was it? You don’t have to say if it’s too much. I mainly skip through her stuff because she people me to absolute tears, I don’t like her face or voice. She just repels me for some reason. I disagree we need to see the photos. When reliable news sources report that children are dying, I believe them. What she shared was horribly confronting, and sharing these photos isn't "action" (this people me to tears) it's just replicating images over and over.

However, I agree that you can just unfollow if you know you can't handle seeing this stuff and it's not on Clem to manage the feelings of the thousands who follow her. TWs have got to the point where they're almost meaningless on the internet, you need to tread carefully if you really truly have complex PTSD.

Totally agree. The more I see of what she shares and talks about over time the more this makes sense: Moral grandstanding

So these people would have a black square for BLM but never mention it again, the push for vaccines and barely mention Covid or any current issues, the hating on marriage in the lead up to releasing a book, the push for the Yes vote then no discussion or conversation with anyone about the outcome….that was last weeks topic. This week: Palestine and a hashtag in a bio is just that. A hashtag It’s all about her brand and boosting it.
