Just a suggestion but have you considered putting your tree up anyway and trading in your husband for a newer, more festive model? 🤷‍♀️
Not sure if l could get another one at my age tbh and he does do the recycling . 🤣

Our tree goes up on 1st Dec and the elves bring ascent calenders but I don’t do extravagant things with the elves just easy things and don’t say they watch you and she can hold them etc. hate the whole Santa is watching you or you won’t get presents etc. I say stocking from Father Christmas but presents are from mummy.

All my kids presents were always from Santa when they believed. Now big teenagers and still love waking up to a living room full of surprises. I’m lucky we JUST missed elf on the shelf. I wouldn’t have had the patience and believe me, I love everything Christmas, but f@ck that. 😬

Same in my house. God I miss Santa in the house now they are in their 20s, although eldest daughter is a sucker still for Christmas pjs and loves when I get them for her.

Yes, still get my big teens Christmas jammies every year and I’ve bought new Christmas bedding for them too. All with Santa’s on….has to be. And their wrapping paper will always have santas, has been since their first Christmas. 🎅🏻

My house is on the market but I will still be putting my decorations up as usual.
I thought about it. But it seemed a bit sad to only have a few things out. And I wouldn’t want to decorate too much as people can’t “imagine” spaces anymore. You have to bloody spoon feed them

We've sold our house and are going through the long winded process at the minute, we're sending everything back as soon as it comes to us but I feel like the rest of the chain is slow despite both sides originally being keen to move ASAP. I've said to my husband if we don't move by the end of November I want to wait until January as I can't cope with a year of minimal decorations! We tried our best to get it moving in time 🤷🏻‍♀️

Another vote here for putting your decs up for viewings, that would make my day 🙂

Just wrapped my nieces birthday presents and it’s got me all giddy for Christmas 🎄 and Christmas wrapping. I want to wrap already, but I wrapped early November last year and by the time Christmas came around the tape had gone tit

We've been on the market since the end of July and people are ridiculous. Some of the reasons people give for not wanting it is mad. Just say it's not for you. I'm a big girl, I can take it. 😜

The market is on its knees anyway so I'm still having Christmas the way I want it. 🎄🎅🎁
