I feel like its too early to commit to a chocolate calender as by next month you might see a better one

No choccie calendar here, a traditional one with a lovely festive image. The last couple of years I have treated myself to the Temple Spa calendar but giving it a miss this year.
@Notmycat yes, the Tesco Christmas clubcard savers has changed. You can't top up in shops any more. Think the cut-off was around Easter and that's it. I don't use Tesco enough to be arsed but it seems a bit shortsighted. Not everyone wants to pay online for them.
Well, I have the Bonne Maman one paid for and will probably get at least another one. Possibly the Invisibobble again. Plus a chocolate one when in the supermarket nearer the time.

I love that you and your friend do this. It sounds fun and I wish I had a friend like itThe time lapse allows for me forgetting what could be in each and she hasn't a clue either. I started doing this for myself cos I love chocolateand noone else to do it for me and it makes me happy.
Same friend also wraps my presents to myself and delivers them a week before Christmas where we get drunk and sort out as I buy little things for "future me" and forget them which is easy when I know my memory so bad so it's always surprise to see what past me needed and future me opens it. I try to just order only those bits in Amazon box so that I don't even have to open it when it arrives I get delivered directly to friend and when she sees my name on it, puts that in a box in the attic till December.

The chocolate for bags are sweets which go in the advent calendar those are from a separate budget which is basically where I build up ASDA rewards and lock them in and and then I have that as a budget
While I also make payments towards Christmas savings card via ASDA and in gift cards via Tesco throughout the year as the ASDA Christmas saver

ASDA Christmas card gives a bonus for having to save certain amounts. This can be used across as stores in person online George and other ranges.
Tesco do have a Christmas savings card I'm not exactly sure what's the criteria is now as they have made changes this year what's the used to let you buy credit towards savings card which they would then issue in November as clubcard points.. I do know can buy gift cards however in my experience they cannot be spent online and was present in person in store and the cards can be already topped up in person as far as I know.
Sainsbury's - can use the nectar points towards this
Sainsbury's last year gave £10 worth of nectar points for free around Christmas time - hopefully they do it again this year!
You just had to have the nectar app and earn a certain amount of points, which the app makes super easy because of the personalised points offers you get.
They have a similar offer on at the moment but it's with buying fruit & veg instead of earning points - it's nearly impossible to do as household of 2! I think I should be able to unlock the first 500 points reward part, but that's it

I would 100% sign that!Pffft I actually saw someone post a PETITION earlier to ban shops putting Christmas stuff out before Halloween.
It loses its value to me by having everything out so early. Same with Easter products for this year being on shop shelves last December. It stops being special if you see it everywhere for months before the actual holiday
