Winter Wonderland isn’t happening :( and I’d say the Kew Garden show won’t happen 😭

If anyone is near Buckinghamshire a place called Waddesdon Manor have announced they will be doing their Christmas market and light trail through the gardens as usual. There will be less tickets available to allow for social distancing etc. so guessing they will sell out pretty quick.

Just found out winter wonderland is officially cancelled 😭😭😭 Would anyone like to chat about something more cheerful, like stockings? Do you enjoy doing them? What do you put in? Do you receive one, and what would you like to find in yours? ❤

My goal is to up my game on mine this year. I usually do a tube of sweets, scratch card, hair accessory, lip balm and one other gift. I’d love some ideas for what else I could put in them.

Cute! I always do some fun socks and pants and then some pocket money type toys but don’t buy anything that’s really cheap that could break easily. Want to avoid tears on Christmas Day! 😂 I do things like hot wheels, small Lego sets, favourite magazine, chocolate, some stationary, little trinkets, a small travel sized game like dominoes or pickup sticks. Can find good ones online that aren’t too expensive. I think girls are easier as there are so many sweet hair accessories and costume jewellery. I only have boys to buy for in my family so miss out on that. Are we allowed to post links of things we find?

That’s so lovely! Do you get one?

No I don't :giggle:. yes a favourite magazine is always a good stocking idea or a bath bomb.

I forgot about bath bombs! Used to get some from Lush but they’re so expensive now! 😩 I’m trying to reign it in a little this year 😂
I normally get the teddy bear one or the white round one from Lush they are the cheapest.

My nieces go to school there! Oh this forum hitting close to home ha

I’m so sad about Winter Wonderland 🤦🏼‍♀️
Same! I spend every birthday there (in the beer tents obviously). My favourite place to bring people at that time of year and finish off with a drunken walk along Oxford St to look at all the lights :(

LOVE a stocking! My husband and I do them every year.

- hand sanitizers from Bath and Bodyworks... yes, I used them before Covid19, lol. I know it sounds strange as in the UK there isn't Bath and Bodyworks but they do the most amazing scented sanitizers.
- Hand cream
- Lip balm
- Mini candles from Homesense. The brand DW has some great ones.
- Bath bombs from Lush.
- Chocolates.
- Cozy socks.
- Shower gels/bubble bath.
- A nice bag of coffee.
- At Sephora, they sell smaller sized makeup/beauty products near the cash desk, my husband sometimes gets me something from there.

we've got our little 5 year old who looooves Christmas so father Christmas will be treating him very well this year (as its been such a tough year for the children), we've decided for everyone else we will make something, and then with the money we save we will use some to make a hamper up for the local foodbank, i bet theres loads of families who will struggle this year. We've said we will only be buying for relative's children this year. Everyone else earns more than me and whenever they want something they buy it, so no point showering them with useless tat for another year.

Those small Yankee candles you find in Home Bargains and B&M for about 89p are good for stockings. I went to Home Bargains today and bought two Christmas candles, a couple of xmas gift bags and some mince pies and cream

Omg, they have mince pies already??? Here in North America, they are hard to find and when you can find them it is not until around December

Yes, warmed up is the best way :D.

Anyone else like eggnog lattes from Starbucks? I love them but only have 1 or 2 in the season as they're so horrifically bad for you, ahahah.
