Surely the responsibility is with the venue?
I wouldn’t have thought so. It was a freak accident. Everyone knows it can happen but you choose whether to take the risk or not. I fell and broke my wrist on the ice a year ago, that wasn’t the venue’s responsibility.

And the parents responsibility whether or not they CBA buying the ice safety gloves.

They likely couldn’t for hygiene purposes. Would you want to put your hands in gloves that thousands of other people had worn and sweated in 🤢 It’s different with the skates because people wear socks and it’s just a quick spray with antibac inside the skate. I think it’s individual responsibly to be honest.

If it's a health and safety issue - which it clearly is, it's their responsibility to provide gloves, they can be washed and used anti bac spray etc.

Then they should be providing more than that - knee pads, elbow pads, shin guards, wrist guards helmets etc. because the most common injuries from ice skating rinks are fractures, bone breaks and concussions

At what point does a person become accountable for their own safety when they choose to do an activity?

When safety equipment is provided but they refuse or fail to use it. If a person went to work in a factory and got their hand caught in a meat cleaver, the factory would be responsible if they failed to provide appropriate safety measures. Health and safety gets a bad rep but it's there for a reason.

That’s a different scenario though. Going to work in a meat factory is not a social activity and would therefore be governed by a different standards and H&S laws. An employer has to legally provide safety equipment to allow people to carry out their job. If a person chose not to wear it, that becomes their responsibility.

But if I go bowling and drop a ball on my foot and break a toe, is the bowling alley responsible for not providing me with steel toe cap shoes? As I say, I broke my wrist ice skating last year, I wasn’t given a wrist guard so was the rink responsible for that?

Should swimming pools provide arm bands for children who can’t swim? Or would that be the parent’s responsibility?

Chloe's trying to pass the blame on.

If you allow your child on ice or for example roller skates without gloves knee pads ect, if they fall and hurt themselve it's your responsibility.

In our local ice rink most younger kids have gloves/helmets knee and arm pads on too.

I think her I got the call statement was a dig at the baby daddy. I think she wanted people to know it happened when the kid was passed off to him and not with her. The baby daddy has left his kid living with Dan Edgar and Dan Edgars dog

Yes there was a spell of time where she never seemed to have that boy.

I think she's lapping up gaining more followers since the news.

They probably share him 50/50. Pass him around when they want. They both are selfish to put the boy in that position. The baby daddy new gf is the image of Ella Rae Wise. Fake face, fake boobs. Nothing special

Is it really his whole finger?. I got the impression it was just the tip.

And won't parliament just tell her to be accountable for your own child.
