finally, someone else has seen it, thank you!!!! (Thank you for not leaving me hanging!)

I loved that show so much but it didn’t last long at all. I can still sing the whole theme tune without prompting! My parents must have been super quick to get the toys.

I used to think I was cool like Dotty or cute/smart like Portia. And then I remember watching one episode and realising I was a spoilt vain stuck up sheep like Woolma. A genuinely life changing moment for me. (The episode was about her birthday and I think she ran away because she didn’t get enough attention.)

(Was hoping you’d know it since you mentioned the wuzzles!)

What made me suspicious was the bit each week where he leant on his front gate, watching all the children go by....
I know. Talk about unresolved issues

Mary Mungo and Midge made me want to live in a tower block so badly, so I could ride in a lift everyday. Then bingo! When I was 10 I got a friend who happened to lived on the 17th floor of a tower block. Although I had outgrown the programme I remember how exciting I thought it was travelling up to her flat to see her.

I was lucky enough to receive an email from Mr Benn once! Or at least from Ray Brooks, the actor who voiced Mr Benn. He is quite a talented chap really.

Some childrens programmes I can remember -
The Woodentops
Andy Pandy
Bill & Ben
The Magic Roundabout
Banana Splits - I used to love the cartoon serials that were shown. The Arabian Knights and The Three Musketeers.
The ghosts of Motley Hall
Does anyone remember the serial Children of the stones - a genuinely scary series set in Avebury Wiltshire. They gave it another name in the series. Avebury is well worth a visit.
That will do for now, more to come.
Children of the stones - scary

Jamie and the magic torch
Hector's house
Champion the wonder horse, White horses,
Robinson Crusoe - all in the summer holidays.
Doctor Snuggles
Trap door
Fat tulips garden
Willo the wisp
Funky phantom
Buck Rogers
Sapphire and Steel - more for teens/ adults

Hey Arnold, Rugrats, As Told by Ginger, The Wild Thornberries, Recess, SpongeBob, Pinky and the Brain, Kim Possible, Arthur, Dexter's Laboratory, All That, Clarissa Explains, Ren & Stimpy, Sabrina, Kenan & Kel, Sister Sister, The Amanda Show, Moesha, anything with Mary Kate & Ashley.

Basically Nickelodeon, with a bit of Cartoon Network and the Disney Channel. I can still remember the old 90s Sky menu and how Cartoon Network was at the top, Nickelodeon was in the middle and Disney was at the bottom. Anyone remember that? lol. All my friends watched British shows like My Parents Are Aliens and Tracey Beaker but I'd never seen them.
Tracey Beaker is about a girl in a children's home. My oldest son used to watch it years ago and told me a few times he wanted to live in one because they seemed fun. Certainly not!

I had Cable as a kid. They had games on there such as Steve Sweep, Blox and Rex, Skullduggery, etc. But no one I know remembers them.

I really enjoyed the tv adaptations of children's classic novels the BBC did in the 70s

Heidi (with Nicholas Lyndhurst as goat herd Peter)
Anne of Green Gables
Anne of Avonlea (with Nicholas Lyndhurst as Davy Keith)
Thursday's Child
Kizzy
Ballet Shoes
The Prince and the Pauper (with Nicholas Lyndhurst as the prince and the pauper)

By 1978 Nicholas Lyndhurst had aged out and was Adam in Butterflies!

Remember the Enchanted Castle? I was spooked by that scene where they do a stage show with an audience of made-up dummies which then come to life and start clapping.
I loved the enchanted castle, didn’t they climb into the statues as well? Which obviously as a kid I wanted to do!! I’m sure I had the book, I must go and have a look on amazon

Monkey? With Pigsy? 🤣 That was a favourite in our house too.

My nans house all she had to entertain us was a load of taped VHS' with recordings of Flash Gordon, the Littlest Hobo, shit wild west's that went on all day and creepy, ancient, anthropomorphic cartoons which quite frankly terrified me.
Yes that's the one. Don't know why but I found it entertaining.
