Ooh drama in the Wizarding world of youtubers! So Victoria Maclean has apparently scammed someone (McDorks ?! ) over a swap box (you swap a box of curated hp items with someone for 75 dollars and send it to your swap person) she hasn't kept her end of the bargain, and he's gone to town with all of the tea! She accused him of wanting 15 mins of fame from her out of all this, and he's countered with this little gem, of her using Cherry for clout, and then Victoria starts dragging Cherry in a group chat thats been leaked. I think i can see why Cherry keeps her channel youngish now like the Monzo card ad etc, if Warner Bros only want the younger fandom promoting it etc she doesn't want to fall out of favour with her "partners" I always wondered why you'd never see Victoria talking to Cherry etc at the events at the tour, there was obvs beef there! In Victoria's latest "Im Sorry" video on youtube she alludes to falling out with a youtuber early on because she thought she was copying her, as they have similar shelves of hp things etc, i wonder if it was Cherry! The plot thickens!

Haha god, I somehow stumbled on that pathetic box swap drama yesterday evening - it all came up in my suggested videos on youtube.They all seem incredibly pathetic adand as it all comes across as if they all need to bloody well get out more and stop being basket cases - a bit like Cherry really, albeit they do almost make her seem quite normal.
I did see a comment under one of the videos from Cherry supporting the guy who made them saying that she was really glad he'd exposed this Victoria Maclean (who I'd not even heard of and who seems very bizarre) because she invited her to her home once and was repayed with finding out that she'd said mean things about her in a group chat, literally years and years ago.
I know we know Cherry doesn't have much going on but surely you'd have just got over it rather than involve yourself years later. Clearly hasn't heard of onwards and upwards. I don't think I'd fully appreciated before what a toxic and backstabbing place the Harry Potter youtube 'community' was - seems like a very stressful way to make a living. The comments on those videos are hilarious, what a bunch of brown nosing weirdos these lot are.

Oh wow i've just read the comment from Cherry, i actually feel quite sorry for her! Cant imagine people who you think are friends just using you for the amount of followers you have, especially after inviting them into your actual home, it really is a user type of world in there! So that confirms it was Cherry that Victoria was going on about in her rather pathetic apology scripted video, blimey never a dull moment in the Wizarding world!

Although Cherry did this with someone who used to be her friend! They were a lot more popular than cherry and she used to collab with them a lot and once she gained popularity through it she just stopped bothering with her! Can’t remember who it was but remember reading the tweets of them calling Cherry out on it!

It absolutely has to be about her doesn't it. By the looks of it, Victoria has offended pretty much everyone over the years!
I'm sure it is disappointing (for Cherry) to be used but by the looks of it they're all at it and trying to climb the ladder so it can't have been that much of a surprise and was some time ago. It does put some perspective into why Cherry seems lonely though and doesn't interact a lot with other youtubers. You can't blame her for not wanting to get involved with her peers when it is so cut throat and you wouldn't really ever know who you can trust if it's the case that your private messages are constantly shared around group chats and videos made out of them when you fall out
Even that guy who made the video was going on about not doing any of it for views, not caring about subscribers and not wanting to cancel anyone but in the same breath asking people to subscribe and liking all the comments where people said they were now following him off the back of this. The whole set of videos are clearly designed specifically to cancel someone and drum up support for himself

She keeps saying she's read 7 books this year as if it's some mammoth achievement. It's May. That's less than 2 books a month.

As far as my other opinions go id say Victoria is definitely a die hard fan on par with the Potter collector in terms of a US comparison, she just finished a thesis I believe, that was in Harry potter whereas we all know of Cherrys interest or apparent lack thereof. Saying this I do get the vibe that Victoria is a catty 'housewife' persona if that makes sense. From what I've see of other potter creators that isn't a case of the majority though I would theorise that to be a content creator you have to be on the extreme end of a self promoter and if that includes your image you must have an exaggerated ego than most people which would in my opinion lead to conflict or at the very least friction, and that's even before regarding the competitive nature of it for getting partnerships, event invites, gifts and viewers/fans/likes and subscribers

Goto @ McDorks on instagram, has a section under his bio all about it and also has made two youtube videos, Cherry commented under his first youtube video about Victoria, i've attached that comment. I'm not really interested in who is the bigger fan or who writes thesis on Harry Potter tbh, i just thought it was interesting how it highlights such crappy behaviour of grown adults going on in these fandoms. I'd also do the same if i was Cherry and have cut her off, quite why Victoria was wearing an Ordinary Owl sweatshirt in a video a few weeks ago when she treated Cherry badly is beyond weird, buying her merch when Cherry obviously wants nothing to do with her is very odd behaviour, or she still is trying to use her for clout, all a bit bizarre.

my comments on Victoria were more giving info for the people in here who say they've not heard of her, honestly my takeaway is they're largely as bad as each other even if in different ways (cherry did the same thing to that musician friend she had (cant remember her name unfortunately) , even this McDorks guys is giving bad vibes having watched the 2 videos and his story highlight on the matter. And yeah I agree with you alot of these influencers havent grown up and its still like secondary school
This is all making sense now. I watched Victoria for a bit when she first stared. I remember she bought one of Cherry’s boxes and was really complementary of it, praising Cherry in her video. Later in a Q&A or live stream, someone mentioned something about Cherry, and she said either she doesn’t watch her videos or has never seen her video’s and I thought that was really weird; either an outright lie, something happened or she is jealous. I stopped watching her after that, plus couldn’t handle the squeals and baby voices she does. Clicked on her today and can see she now calls herself ‘Lady’ Victoria McLean. Did she actually buy herself a ‘title’ and use it in real life?? She acts like she is 5 years old. Cherry feels normal and completely sane to me now!
What i also found interesting in Victoria's "im sorry" youtube video she says she only makes around £500 from youtube per month, so where Cherry is concerned if you times that by ten, which is roughly ten times the amount of followers and video views than this Victoria that Cherry gets, does that mean Cherry is making about 5k per month from it?! If it is that kind of money just from youtube she really should be buying a house and putting the money into something than dead rent imo! Can't believe Victoria admitted that she puts most of her things she buys from the tour/ hp shops/ trips etc on her credit card, and said she was selling some of her collection (that was 60% gifted to her, what a sponger!!) to pay bills because of the cost of living crisis, well she needs to see the wood for the trees silly bint...clearly she's flogging a dead horse!! If all this isn't really making her enough to live on, just stop?! These types seem addicted to the attention they're getting though so i doubt she would. Just find it madness how there's people getting themselves into debt and all this bitterness, jealousy etc from a book series, that to be honest the author never really wanted or needed any influencers to piggyback on and make this murky social media extension of it!

No I really don’t think Cherry earns loads you can look on something called company house which shows companies profits and her company is literally called treat yourself her last accounts recorded say she’s got about seventy thousand in the bank which isn’t a lot considering she’s been doing YouTube for a long time, a lot of YouTubers earn money from sponsors which she really doesn’t do a lot of nowadays plus her videos barely reach 100k which is a dramatic decrease from what she used to get! Why she thought it was a financially smart decision to buy a Tesla than put the money towards a house I don’t know! 
also interesting that she’s not bothered to shut down ordinary owls that’s still a registered company! Probably to much paperwork for her and she doesn’t want to do the work
