Unpopular opinion.
awful to what’s she’s going through and her boys too.
But I don’t get the pouting and full face of make up.
Putting on a brave face for her boys. Acting how she always has to keep things as normal as possible. I do hope you read Chelsea and know how 99.9% of us offer nothing but support for you and your family.

God forbid a young mum goes through one of the worst things a human being could go through and decides to put her face on.

Maybe she’s been crying a lot and is trying to look a bit more like herself for the sake of her two young kids who’ve just lost their daddy?

Maybe she’s looking in the mirror and not recognising herself because the last few years have taken a vicious toll on her and she’s tried to make herself feel a bit better.

Maybe she just needs a small win like getting out of bed, getting dressed and getting herself out for the day.

and as for taking photos… maybe she’s trying to take as many photos as she can because right now that’s all those kids have left of their daddy and one day it’ll be all they have left of Chelsea.

She is an incredible and strong young woman. I hope she gets on with her life with all the support she needs she does seem to have a great network. We love her but don’t own her. Get on and live your life Chelsey.

I think she’s incredible and she’s doing everything she can for those little boys whilst her hearts in bits. She’s making things as normal as possible. Taking pics and making memories for them has always been a big part of their lives so why should that change. I think it’s a shame she’s closed her account especially if it was because of the makeup comment. I’m sure lots of people going through what she went through found her an inspiration to watch .
I’ve followed her for years from her early SW days and I really hope she comes back when she feels up to it.

My friend was 36 when her husband dropped down dead. I remember her turning up to sob in my house so her kids wouldn’t see that. Then she gathered herself together to go home and do her best for her kids. They were traumatised losing her husband their dad. She often wanted to stay in bed and not get out of the bed ever but she had two children who needed her.

If Chelsea wants to put on make up to cover how awful she feels then so be it. Those little boys are so young and need their mum even though she’s going through immense pain and grief herself. There is a great deal of loneliness in becoming a single parent and navigating that life as a widow knowing there is no coming back from it. Nothing can ever replace Matt and it’s very very early days in their journey of navigating the grief.

Also her husband was sick for a long time. She’s had a long time to practice acting as normally as possible for her kids. She’s been extraordinarily strong for so long, I hope she has a strong support network.

My dad was the same when my mum died. That week he hosted the Saturday night family get together as usual. His way of coping was to continue as normal as it’s what my mum would have wanted. Everyone copes different and if getting make up on is what you need to do then do it. There is no rule book to grief and from what we see of her online she is an absolute pillar of strength and will be the best Mum for those little children who have had the most traumatic life experiences.

It has just occurred to me that maybe all the Easter family days that everyone is posting on IG is just too much for her. I am sat here feeling like the most rubbish mum and failure at family life, for my broken family, for so many failings as a parent and person, because of the continual flow of all the happy families on Instagram that it just hit me…. Chelsea and those boys 😞 You’re amazing Chelsea. We wish you and your boys all the power and calm, lots of calm and time to grieve now. Stay strong. 🙏

I am actually glad she has deleted her Instagram and hopefully she will give herself time away from social media to grieve.
I did feel her posts started to feel a bit too much, to soon after she has only just lost him,
social media can be a cess pit at the best of times and I think posting while you are still processing losing a loved one can leave yourself open to all sorts of criticism, Yes everyone handles grief differently but I honestly don’t think she is in the right head space to handle social media content immediately after that loss…

I can’t stop thinking about her. Have checked in every now and then and this was the saddest news. Thinking of her and the boys. X

The average waiting time for a cremation where i live is around 3-4 weeks which is what this is.... funeral directors are given so many slots and like someone else said other things may be being taken into consideration.. the date may be a significant date for them or they wanted to avoid certain dates.. ultimatelyi think its family choice.... he's older than I thought too.. but still so young ... 💔💔

Thinking of Chelsea and her boys today and hoping they're OK. Time has passed but still stunned by the audacity of the poster criticising her for putting a bit of slap on. Shame on you.
