I'm a fan of store-bought bleach and toner ... total cost about NZ$25 (plus my time and patience); compared to my hairdresser who charges about $380 for the same thing.

I love the gluten-free popcorn my supermarket sells ... it's about NZ$2 for a huge bag that comes in salted caramel or sea salt flavour.

Has anyone tried the new Aldi perfumes? I tried the dark blossom which is a dupe for ysl black opium. I’m really impressed!

I got this one in a beauty box from Aldi. I didn’t like it, I haven’t found a dupe of black opium that smells as strong . The real one lasts for ages and even the day after and after showering u can still smell it

We go to the library every Monday and I love it. Anyone who fancies a bit of half term fun should read “The Shelf”. So good! Also you can usually ask for specific books and they’ll order them in- I just ordered the Hunger Games prequel before the movie comes out, although there’s a little wait list I’ve been told, then it comes from the city library. Mine also has free WiFi and cheap printing facilities

I've just remembered I read that you can use their Ancestry Site for free to look into your family tree.

Cheap jaffa cakes are better than branded jaffa cakes. The cheaper the better!

I’m not disagreeing with you, but this made me laugh! I do like Jaffa cakes, btw, but I don’t think I ever ate any brand than the one from Aldi. They aren’t that popular around here.

I've got good setting sprays from MUA brand & NYX, reasonable prices. Smashbox are my favourite & can sometimes grab a bargain on ebay.

I have now read the Trisha Ashley book Wedding Dress Repair Shop.
No, it didn't grab me. I kept glazing over and my mind wandering whilst reading it, but the story is good so why don't I like it?
Possibly as it packed a lot in, so was confusing in parts. I had a vague feeling the timeline wasn't right but couldn't be bothered to check back in the book, and some of the sentences didn't make sense (not proof read?).
So I'm glad I didn't automatically buy it in hardback. It would probably make more sense if I read it all again so I might buy it in future if it turns up for £2 in The Works.

MUA primer pro base the moisturising one - green bottle. Is brilliant and very cheap.
Best concealer and cheap is collection lasting collection.
I like ELFs camo CC Cream dupe for ITs cosmetics. If I want more full coverage I add a little normal foundation to it sometimes.

Aldi -mango & passion fruit gin is delicious
Aldi hot chocolate bombs, my kids said they were delicious.

Idk if it's available in the UK (I live in Spain), but there's a hand cream I get that's less than 2 euro by Instituto Español and it has urea in it. It's the only thing that can cope with my season eczema, and it even gets rid of my cuticles, too, so bonus

I'm after something for my raggedy cuticles - any recs?

- Needs to be on the cheaper end of the spectrum so I can keep one at work, one in the car, one in my bag, one by my bed, etc
- Must have a non-spilly, non-annoying packaging/ application (I love Burts Bees cuticle stuff but getting into the tin is a mare)

I don't mind the no-name generic brushy-pens of oil, but I don't know that they are terribly effective.

Sally Hansen cuticle remover £5'ish, lasts ages & very effective for removal, then pretty much any oil will maintain condition, i use NSI oils mainly, only 2-3 drops for each hand.

If you live in London (or near to) they have a shop in covent garden, the staff are helpful too, which is unusual nowadays

Theres a shop in Westfield Shepherds Bush too.

Has anyone read the latest Trisha Ashley the Wedding Dress Shop one. I wasn't grabbed by the blurb so I ordered it from the library instead who are in the process of buying it. I'm trying to be good with money at the moment. I notice it was over £12 in Amazon when it was in the supermarket at £8!
