Has anyone got any recommendations for Home Bargains food?
I have just had one of their £1 egg and cress mayonnaise sandwiches in malted bread which was lovely.
I also like the Indi Grand butter chicken sauce. They used to do pilau rice as well, then they stopped selling it.😭
I saw a roast dinner for £3.25 in the cook chill section and wondered if that was nice. 🤔

It's not cheap, but was actually free - a birthday gift for my sister that she loved ;)

My sis turned thirty and because I couldn't see her on the day but wanted her to have something, I made her a playlist on Spotify, with the song that was top of the charts, each year, since her birth on that date. It took me about 15 min to look up the songs and a few minutes to search them for on Spotify.
Thank you SOOOOOOO much for this golden tip!
My oldest is turning 40 next week monday, he's really into music and I really didn't know what to get him for his birthday, so I made this playlist starting '83, ending with Miley Cyrus' Flowers.
My youngest son and my daughter think it's the perfect gift for him - I'm also sure he'll appreciate it.
And meanwhile, it brought back a lot of good memories, from the time when I was still fresh and fruity... ;)

So yes, thanks again!!!

Also while we’re on the subject of Nivea, their Love Sunshine shower gel. It’s £1 and it smells like holidays in a bottle. ☀

Essence's Lash Princess mascara is fantastic, the sculpted volume one is my fave
I bought this from JustMyLook (free shipping over £10!) on the recommendation of this thread and I agree that it’s brilliant - my favourite mascara at the moment. Better than my Urban Decay one.

This is my favourite Essence mascara! So good, rarely see it spoken about.
It’s my favourite too - great volume and doesn’t clump, flake or smudge. I rarely try new makeup (had used Clinique High Impact for quite a few years) but I’m so pleased I had the impulse to try this one, given the ~90% savings. The only problem with it is it seems to be out of stock for long periods at a time.

Not sure how much it costs in store but I just ordered it on Amazon for £4.98. I love the lash princess one so excited to try this

It didn’t even occur to me to look for it on Amazon so thanks for the tip!

It’s definitely worth the £4.98 but think it’s around £2.50-£3 in store. The mini version is only ~£1.80 and still lasts about as long as I tend to use a mascara before replacing anyway.
