Not classism at all. I have a little experience with paparazzi (not for myself but a close friend) and therefore have a very low opinion of them based on how they treated her.

She wasn’t just targeting someone randomly, it was retaliation to something they had done previously.
Exactly. I thought it was wildly known that paparazzi are ruthless pricks, why is the narrative suddenly that they are poor victims just trying to do a job!?? 🤣🤣

I think it is mad how out for blood people seem to be over this scenario - it seems to have snowballed beyond all reason. So “she” asked a kid not not look at her? Ok, so she’s a diva? Get over it! Don’t support her if you don’t want to. The end. It just seems the reaction is so massively overblown compared to the transgression itself!

Her current actions are building her up to be far bigger than she would be with just the music. Maybe that was always the plan.
The cynic in me was just mulling over the thought that this is all just part of the markting plan. Cancel the events that booked her before she hit the headlines (probably at a lower fee than she would get now), have a few shows next year that will be the rare occasion to spot this shy musical unicorn and milk it for all the fees and money.
I'm a veteran of the 'cheeky Avril Lavigne knocked on Linda Perry's door and just demanded to work with her' marketing blib. Nothing will surprise me.

She really needs better management to learn how to cope with the fame. She’s going to end up cancelled at this rate

My brain keeps singing 'Eeny Meeny Miny Mo! Catch a Tiger by the toe!' to the same tune as ' H O T T O G O, you can take me Hot to Go!'

Help!

When I first saw photos of her a few months ago, I imagined that her most recent single would be quirky like her image.

It's bland as fuck.

I believe she does have bipolar too so I can imagine blowing up this quickly isn’t doing great things for her mental health.
Yeah I was just going to comment about this. A part of me is sympathetic to her because it’s an insane situation in general but especially if you’re dealing with mental health already

At the same time I don’t think she’s helping herself at all and from the messaging she has been sending she has a lot of say in whether to do x or y which doesn’t come off great when she makes decisions that are unpopular or says silly things. I’m sure her team or label is also somewhat to blame for this because they really should have put their foot down and told her its time to hand over her social media

I don’t have the details as I wasn’t there but it’s well known that paparazzi are aggressive and antagonise female celebrities to make them look crazy. It’s always been that way. They get the ump if you don’t give them the shot they want.
You don't need to be there, you just need to watch the video and see her going and squaring up to the pap and saying she's doing it because he pissed her off months ago.

She's making herself look crazy, the same way she has been for months. Or were the tiktoks somehow the fault of the paps?

Again, I hope you manage to find a company that will look after your wellbeing.
Whenever I’ve worked in customer service I have been told you warn the customer that you will not tolerate aggression and if they continue you won’t carry on the conversation. If the calls are recorded then they can listen to it back and and verify that you tried.

Honestly, all you’re doing is making me feel bad for you and think that you don’t have enough self-worth. You shouldn’t have to put up with being abused at work in ANY position.

A link to the NHS’s policies when it comes to abuse of their staff. As healthcare and customer service was a given example.

Suspect that it becomes a lot harder when you’re dealing with people in person

can’t just hang the phone up

How is her calling out one pap going to make an industry wide difference?

No one should expect to go to work and have people be rude to them and then told to just smile and accept it because that’s how it’s always been. Feels like for famous women we’re stuck in the past and if they create boundaries they must be crazy.

This was the clip that really made me dislike her. She’s having a go at this photographer, but it’s the way she does it, literally wagging her finger at him, being smug, condescending, and smiling sarcastically.

(I worked in retail for years and she reminds of the worst kind of difficult customer. The kind of people who seem to relish the opportunity to talk down to someone who is not in a position to defend themselves.)

Ooh yeah she does I hate customers like the exact ones I message my friend about or tell my husband on the phone on my break about 😂
