And surprise surprise - it turns out Kem actually can cook after all.
Two faultless courses, including perfect lamb chops (which are often a near disaster when attempted on Masterchef).
Totally agree, must think the British public are stupid 🙄.

I think he’s probably done a LOT of practising on the rounds where they get to cook their own food but he doesn’t have the instincts when it comes to the ‘surprise’ ingredients or rounds. I’ve never watched LI so he’s new to me but I’ve found him incredibly annoying thus far.

Johannes was so sweet I wish he'd stayed in! I also like that he obviously didn't have any hidden expertise (unlike others... ahem) but could still give it a go.

I really can’t work out why he seems to have dyed his hair with purple henna. It looks horrendous.
I googled an old photo of him and he’s ginger (which makes sense, as his stubble is orange). He’s also had a hair transplant, which adds to the strange look.

You talking about Joe S? Stacey S said on LW that he was very sensitive about losing his hair. And that male hair loss is seen as a big joke, but it isn’t etc.

Can't believe Gavin went. His dish was more interesting than Kem's who basically did a stuffed pepper

As mentioned Kem only seems to be doing well because he can practice the meals and he is basically just taking then from various family members not sure how much natural talent is really there. I've also never heard him talk about his Turkish roots as much before

Probably because he is opening a restaurant in Romford.....!

The daily Mail did another article where they just copied people’s tweets saying that it was unfair that Johanes went because of his basic burritos as on the previous heat Jo Swash went through after doing a toad in the hole. Arguably even more simple. I don’t think Joe Swash showed much cooking skill. He didn’t fillet fish or make a sauce except for custard. He made a plain sponge which is what they teach you in food tech at school. At least the Love island bloke cooked a good lamb chop.

I'm really confused. Both Megan and Kem have referenced speaking to someone about their recipes for their sandwiches. So did they know the task the day before?

I clocked that. They are obviously tipped off what the challenge will be.

I knew they were able to practice some of the meals they prepare, but genuinely thought some of them were a surprise, but that they got tips and suggestions for behind the scenes.

I'm glad Su went last night
