Wish she would explain properly what a ‘build partner’ is? Also #ad. Yes she’s said she’s working along side them to promote their products and answer questions etc. If she was getting a wee fee for promoting their services that’s grand. However this #ad and build partner does that mean she’s getting hers for sweet nothing and possibly paid on top of it? If so I feel her opinions would be disingenuous and highly bias and she’s only doing it for the freebie and I would switch off from listening.
Caroline, for the love of God, stop saying you are showcasing Basset’s to help all these other people on their self build journey! You are making money out of it and/or getting it cheaper for yourself. Stop with the pretence
I really want to message her on one of my other account and ask if she would ‘kindly’ explain to us what this means as I think that’s only fair to her followers that we know exactly what financial kickbacks she is getting so we know how much of a biased opinion we are getting her from.
Now just to work out a way of saying it so she might actually answer it publically
Shes getting it for free. No doubt about it. She doesn't want to explain that just as the other insta huns don't explain it either.
Shes invented the term build partner to make it sound like she's just advertising for them rather than shes being given a free system and installation in return for showing the process.
I'm tempted to ask bassetts for clarification on what a build partner means and if hers is free or are they paying her for an advertorial

I presume most of the things in the bungalow will be gifted/build partner etc
They are clearly able to afford to build a brand new house before they've even sold their current one and looking at that Arial shot, it's massive compared to the small bungalow she keeps saying it is

Watch this space … when that time comes
and she thinks people have forgotten all the rest of the free house stuff she has been given and the payment for all the build partner advertising she will be starting on her next ‘build partner’ project Free solar panels, and install and a fee to promote them
Can imagine she will want to reap as much as she can now of pure build cost like heating systems
At least one bathroom fitted out
Then next up a kitchen
Then it will be appliances - maybe even two ovens and a built in microwave (as she has no room for one in current kitchen)
Then it will be furniture beds sofas tables and the like
Then interior design and curtains
Maybe some pictures mirrors and a media wall
Then bedroom furniture like wardrobes etc
Then maybe landscaping or a garden room
Then solar panels
I bet she has a long list of places she can fleece and money she can also make in the process

It’s some hacienda when you see the Ariel shot. So much free stuff for kitting it all out and those Big Days Out funding the actual build no doubt

She very said a few weeks ago, its just a small bungalow and has been careful to show it from only the front elevation.
I love following self builds, it's lovely to see peoples dreams becoming reality.
If I was an insta hun, I would take all the freebies too, why wouldn't you but I wouldnt be embarrassed to say that I've been given x y z free in return for showcasing the company.
Mum did it 30 years ago when she had work done to our family home. She had to agree to her house being shown in brochures for a certain time frame and I think it was in the papers for a while.
There always was a declaration saying that the work was in return for advertising

Yes it’s this total lack of transparency that gets me. And a declaration of what they are getting in return. Yeah take the freebies but be upfront and honest with your followers about it! It’s the sneakiness that gets to me
