Her response to the derm was just shocking n appalling. .. everyone reafs on hear...or gets someone to read n keep updated. .iv7e followed Caroline for many years. . Initially i blindly believed then i learnt to do my own research..off late her complete focus is on the kits n sales .. no reviews ..regular content ...example she's been flogging the most expensive moisturiser from Kaye sommerville for years... she may genuinely like it...i used to believe n almost picked it up in a sale.. n7pt paying full price for anything ever... but then didn't. ..going by experience i know its not going to work any miracle bit surprised the Derm asked gor av recco... maybe she did... id love to know the truth... but off late losing my faith in Caroline's word ..becoming more n more a saleswoman ... there's a comment bout dermalogica.. even i remember caroline saying ..meh .. ok she changed her mind genuinely or got paid to.. just very dissapointed
..

That pretty much sums up all I despise about "influencers" (dread word).
I mean wz the fake reviews n stuff...there was actual evidence. .alls forgiven ehh. As soon as business deal struck!

No, I knew what you meant too 🤣

She does this gurning thing with her face and it really puts me of her videos. Like her face is folding in on itself?! I hate judging people’s looks because I’m far from perfect but her hair looks a lot better pulled back of her face. If she’s paying a lot of money for that blow dry she had done for this morning then she’s throwing her money away! It did not look good 😳
She’s definitely not paying 😂 #presstreatment

I've been waiting weeks to get into the freaks group. Is that normal? I mean, first they make you answer weird questions which is already eugh. What the hell are you supposed to even say? It's awkward. I mean, I'm an admin on another facebook group and it takes seconds to click accept. Is there something secret you have to put in the questions? XD Or have they stopped accepting?

I think this is one of the problems with the Clinique three-step thing everyone used to talk about. The second step is an exfoliating toner and if you use it twice a day, it can actually be very harsh on many skins. People love to over-exfoliate (guilty of this myself) in the quest for "better skin" that's so hyped about by CH and her ilk.

I’ve been using it since April, started on 0.025% for the first month and 0.05% since then. I use the same cleansers as before (Body Shop Camomile cleanser followed by Beauty Pie double phase) but have to be a bit more gentle with the flannel, and I use the Emma Hardie balm cleanser 1-2x a week for a bit more oil. I then use a mist, let that sink in, then the tret, and then after 30 minutes I use a facial oil or The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors (I think that’s the name? The one that’s just a normal moisturiser and no other ‘stuff’).

I’ve had a few patches of peeling but nothing too bad, but my skin definitely needs these richer moisturisers than I was using before. It’s been worth it though, the texture is much better and without sounding too much like a knob, my skin is radiant. Unfortunately its attached to a skull more suited to a gorilla than a human, but I’m making the most of what god and science gave me 💅

The photosensitivity is my main issue though, I’ve always been the type to need SPF50 to even type the phrase ‘direct sunlight’, but now it’s ridiculous. Good thing we’ve had a pandemic that’s limited my summer fun!
Thank you, @atomichabits ! I have had no peeling just a weird feeling of sunburnt sore skin and my skin is drier. I think I am just going to use it twice a week because whenever I try to increase it my skin says no and like you say, it does still give great results. I've used Differin and The Ordinary Retinol in squalene in the past and found them good but the tret really does give results on a different level.

Cringe with the questions. Is it like a job interview where they decide they don't like your answers and therefore refuse entry? What a load of nonsense.

Geez. Freebies won’t help her precious industry! I hope more people are saving their money, not rushing out to get treatments because of Lady H’s say so

She was on IG live yesterday saying influencers shouldn't be getting free facials at the moment due to the industry suffering and if they do, they should be tipping well. She said she leaves a tip worth the same value as the treatment when she gets her hair done at Josh Wood. What does everyone think?

Wow! I missed so much more than I realised. The prizes really did look amazing.

I love the idea of the kit but wish we didn’t have 24 hours to find out what’s in there and make a decision on whether to buy it. I don’t have a skincare stash, just a handful of products I use every day but with the exception of my eye cream* they are all nearing the end and I’m in the market for replacements. I need more than a day to get over my FOMO and make a sensible decision.

*FYI The Facetheory eye cream is in a huge tube and feels like it will never run out.

Totally agree with what everyone's saying about acids. I think the thing is, if you've never used them before and you start with them, they can make a very big difference to your skin immediately, almost like they're taking off a layer to reveal lovely smooth skin underneath. So you feel like you should use them every day to keep that up. But after a while, it feels like they're stripping away too much and you can start to get some redness. That's my experience anyway. I still like to have them in my routine once or twice a week but every day is too much. Paula's Choice Salicylic Acid for me. My routine is now a mix of some of the more expensive serums, oils etc. but a lot of it I've gone back to basics and back to the stuff I've used for years that I know does the job at a good price. It's eye watering how much some people must be spending on the high end stuff for every single step of their routine.
Oh my god this is so true. I used an acid toner for the first time and was SO happy with the results that I continued to use it twice a day for 3 weeks and then totally broke out.

I only started following her awhile back. Did she always do the lives or was that just a lockdown thing?
