Glad to have found this thread. Have long questioned CH’s advice and I saw something today on the Freaks group that totally clarified that for me.

Poor girl posted on there that after using CH’s routine, she’s broken out in acne after having what looked like perfect skin. Her face is definitely definitely going to scar now. She’s been using acids daily, this and that, etc. CH comments on there, “What toothpaste are you using?” The girl has sore and crusty eyelids ffs. CH was blaming the SLS in the toothpaste for her bad skin instead of the acids she’s been piling on her face daily on the advice of CH. Unless the poor girl is rubbing toothpaste on her eyelids, I’m not sure I’d blame the toothpaste. There were several others posting the same thing, used to have perfect skin using just wipes or micellar water etc., but because CH doesn’t like them, stopped using it and started whacking acids on their face and now have angry faces full of acne that need to just be left alone. But yeh, let’s all blame the toothpaste.

I’d blame the aesthetician that shouldn’t be giving dermatologist advice when she herself looks like a piece of tanned leather. Which is what her skincare routine reminds me of, tanning leather. Oils, serums, moisturisers, acids. SCRUB YOUR FACE RAW WITH A FLANNEL.
What’s wrong with her followers? CH has horrendous skin. I truly don’t understand it and I feel really sorry for the people that are scarring their faces using her routine.

For fucks sake. Shes just posted on her stories slagging off a clothing brand for not coming in "sizes larger than foetus". Seriously body shaming women for not being her size and shape? I *adore* being told I'm "not a real woman" because I have a more athletic body type.
Let's be real, there are clothing brands that only cater to a specific size range and that's problematic, but do we really need to put other women down to make a point?

I cannot abide the whole "real, natural woman" shite. Make your point (very valid point) without shitting on other people or else it invalidates the entire argument.

This is what really baffles me. I don't expect perfection, but look at Caroline vs, say, Lisa Eldridge. Who would you be more likely to emulate? And who would you think is a skincare "expert"?

I have no idea how she grew in popularity. Kindofstephen, Lab Muffin, there are so many others out there that actually talk about ingredients, formulations, why they matter. Hell, I'm in a FB group for The Ordinary and the folks there know more about this than she. Caroline just spouts whatever angry shit she's paid to at this point. The no-nonsense thing may have worked at the start but it's gotten tired and she's gotten angrier.
Agreed. I don’t expect her to have flawless skin, that’s unfair and not necessarily achievable. She’s so far removed from the down to earth blogger she used to be, who gave good general skincare advice, went on fun trips, to concerts, was relatable and measured in her approach.

She’s now sold out, filled her face with Botox and fillers which isn’t an issue but she covered it up for ages, loves the sound of her own voice, pushes whoever pays her, is a hypocrite and is rude to the very followers who made her a success in the first place. I used to like her, but now she can fuck right off as far as I’m concerned. She’s just as bad as every other shady influencer out there.

Honestly it seems a bit rich that Caroline is telling people to book beauty treatments. Um Caroline, did you not recently accept a free midnight press treatment at Josh Wood? You could have easily put your hand in your pocket. Just fuck off, you horrible woman. She makes me furious

I clicked onto her stories today and she was talling about being raised Baptist in Mississippi. Em, Caroline did you not claim a couple of weeks ago that you were Irish because you were raised Catholic?

Oh Caroline. Cringe. Posting stuff about your daughter's "arse" doesn't make you a cool, enlightened Mum.

I'm surprised that so called feminist Caroline is objectifying her own daughter in this way

I think it’s about being a part of a club somehow. I can’t explain it properly but like they’re buying a sense of belonging and the ‘prepping’ thing is to build up the excitement so that they feel they’ve succeeded in getting something not everyone can have, they’re on the inside plus a good dose of dopamine

OMG, that Susannah and Trinny book, someone on Twitter posted screenshots a while ago, the clothes were hilariously bad 🤣

Edit: found it!
Oh my god! Thankyou for sharing this 😂😂😂

So true - I think it frankly disgusting any journalist/influencer accepts free treatments now (well ever actually but now especially) even if they are offered them. I bet the staff that have to do it (not the owners) fucking hate them no matter how much they smile and are polite.
Exactly.

They preach one thing and do another. CH said recently on Emma Guns podcast that the influencer trips to Bali to promote a mascara will be a think of the past as it’s so unnecessary and frankly vulgar in terms of money. I know a hair cut and colour isn’t in the same league, but why did she have to go a midnight? Why did she accept the free treatment. These influencers get SO much free stuff and the majority of us are having to budget to be able to save and afford for a new serum or plan in our hair dresser trips.

She also constantly seems to be ordering deliveroo for dinner because she gets bored of cooking. I find this so lazy. I know this is off topic but 😑

Hirons is talking some serious shite on her latest IGTV, which is apparently “secondary feedback” on her Fenty review. (WTF??) She doesn’t like people complaining about the fragrance in RiRi’s skincare... If, and it’s a big if, someone has a genuine allergy then OK, Ms Hirons will let you off, but the rest of you fusspots can just suck it up. At that point I had to stop watching, she was being so aggressive and ridiculous. She seems to have got a little confused and appears to think she is some kind of Brand Ambassador or PR for Fenty. Not just some nomark twat who had to beg for samples. She is off her head with hubris! This massively inflated level of delusion is new to me as I have only just caught up with this thread, having not bothered with her for ages, but... wow.

The worst is that she has got some serious white saviour shit going on. I’m not quite sure how to describe it, but Hirons seems to think she needs to defend and explain the brand and no way does anyone at Fenty need that crap. Cringe.

I've scaled back my consumption of Caroline so much over the last year or so. When I first started reading her blog i liked how direct she was and how she was willing to say that a product wasn't that great, which is clearly what a lot of people liked about her. But she's almost become a caricature at this point - realised that people liked her being direct and has just completely let that get to her head to where she's unbearable
