She is entitled to create product and of course people have a choice- equally, we're entitled to talk about it here and we also have a choice.

I think what she’s doing is commendable and let’s face it she’s the perfect choice because she’s got a gob the size of the Mersey Tunnel to badger the troops into coughing up, I’d hope her own contribution is sizeable.

JESSICA DEFINO. I only started following her recently thanks to the Sali Hughes thread here, she is a proper journalist who cuts through all the crap and importantly has nothing to sell you. So refreshing.

This is the thing - the products average £25 each. Some of them might have a far higher RRP so are seen as bargains, but you can't tell me under normal circumstances these people would be going out and buying 10 products in one go at an average of £25 each, potentially four times a year? What would be the point?

The worst part about her post is "[we] work really hard to get these kits to you" as if she's so altruistic and not getting anything out of it herself! This is literally her main source of income and she's speaking to people as if she's doing them a favour. It's kind of genius the way she's got so many people to fall for it. She will absolutely NOT be "put off doing brand deals", who the fuck does she think she's kidding?
(By the way, I'm not criticising anyone who buys one of these kits if they actually want the products and would have bought a good proportion of them anyway. It's her attitude that beggars belief.)

Or maybe the worst part is "we KNOW times are hard ... It's one of the reasons we said no to Klarna" - when she's offering Clearpay

Or maybe the worst part is conflating "offering crap" with people saying the kits may contain products that don't suit their skin/they don't need. Cynical AF.

It really is a conundrum.

The fragrance thing. Some people are really allergic, I am! I just don't get why it's something to 'get over', what is so annoying or offensive about saying you don't want it on your facetted? The last reaction I had made me look like I had severe sunburn. So it's an automatic no from me. And frankly, you might just hate the smell and you'll pick up on it for ages after applying if it's all over your face and neck

Exactly. Fragrance is a big no for a lot of people for various reasons, and just because CH thinks we should all get over it, doesn’t mean it’s going to happen.

I reckon she just parted ways with Cult Beauty as she saw there was more money to be made doing it on her own and in fairness who could blame her.

Also she has been calling out people as she has been tagging them. She better hope her 'brand' can survive this as no other brand will be working with her again unless it is with gritted teeth (probably straightened with Invisalign on a freebie)

So, because she knows everything, she’s in a position to have a go at brands who haven’t donated or haven’t donated ‘enough’. Nobody else knows as much as she does. The arrogance knows no bounds.

These companies are going to absolutely loathe her after this. She’s going to use up any goodwill she may have had left with them and burn a lot of bridges.

I think I recall something along the lines of ‘having spots isn’t related to what you eat, that’s why there are no people with acne in Africa’. Think she got backlash for it at the time, obviously

My parents were both teachers. Mum was primary supply. Got punched and scratched by a 6 year old screaming she was a stupid b****. A kid that the school 'forgot' to tell her head been excluded from 2 previous schools for violent behaviour. For legal reasons she couldn't physically get him off her, she had to ask another kid to go get 2 other teachers. She's 5'1.
That counts as abuse in my book.

Yep I left that group v recently for that exact reason. Honestly it's an echo chamber for CH that kisses her ass all day long.

The reason she won’t be drawn into the whole animal testing debate and shuts it down is because she hasn’t got a good response to the testing in China issue. She tries to make out it’s not an issue, but many people feel very strongly about it. She just doesn’t want to be drawn on it because if you rule out companies who sell in China then almost all her income would disappear overnight.

Basically lots of people saying they had no idea who CH was and that they had clicked mistakenly thinking the thread was about either a) football kits b) Airfix kits or c) crochet kits Those that googled her and the kits were less than impressed. I totally agree and would love to hear a more balanced view because while I think it's great that now we speak about it openly and freely it does seem that we only hear the horror stories (like Meg Matthew's and CH etc). And as I said, at 41, it really scares me.

I had a total hysterectomy at 42 because of Endometriosis and associated cysts that continued to grow , I chose not to take HRT for a couple of reasons and I can say , hand on heart , everything has been absolutely fine.

It’s important to make an informed decision but please don’t be scared.

I could be totally wrong but I assume at this point she's essentially just acting as a retailer. So she buys product from the brands at wholesale pricing (possibly with an even higher discount due to the volume she will shift) and then has a fulfilment company package them all into her branded boxes and they then take care of warehousing, packing and shipping to customers. So she'll get whatever's left after buying the product and paying the fulfilment company.

Thats exactly what she’s doing. And she’s only said PayPal are a nightmare to work with as they keep a hold of funds for a period of time to make sure there’s no laundering/fraudulent activity going on. Caroline wants her money right bang in her bank account there and then. PayPal is one of the safest way to pay online but she’s just all greed.

Suppose the week before you start flogging stupid grabby beauty boxes is a good week to start a "charidee". How are they going to disburse the money properly, assess the validity of the claims and keep within the Charity regs? You'd need to employ someone full time to administer this and that's going to cost a huge chunk of what she's raised already. Idiotic.
