'Cruelty free' and also 'vegan' are just marketing bullshit...

Vegan means just that it doesn't contain animal ingredients, but can contain plastic/petrochemical ingredients, and the product can be polluting and toxic to water animals (eg sunscreen). It doesn't necessarily mean cruelty free.

'Cruelty free' doesn't really mean anything. Products sold in Europe since 2013 cannot be tested on animals. China still tests on animals, so apparently if a brand sells in China it's not considered cruelty free even though the product sold in China might be the same formulation as the one made for sale in Europe (China is in all likelihood where the products for the European market are made anyway). Cruelty free only relates to testing, not to the ingredients. So you can have 'cruelty free' make up brushes made from animal hair or in SH's case, foundation made with snail slime, both of which although made in China (and we know China's attitude to animal welfare) are not sold in China and can therefore be labelled cruelty free.

Although if you genuinely believe that some Chinese worker on a dollar a day sits calmly combing live squirrels and then lines up each individual hair in neat bunches for brushes, or admires handsome snail trails before collecting it in a little pot then heaven help you...

I believe (although I could be wrong) that products sold in China only need to be tested in China if they aren't made in China. There was talk they had changed the regulations when it was found Wet n Wild were being sold over there.

I agree its all a load of marketing codswhallop to make people feel better about themselves.

She was speaking to the Fat Mascara women and was saying about it in a few years but they think it’s more than likely going to happen. I think it will but I’m not sure how since she doesn’t have any qualification in the industry, she’s just a sales girl right?

The animal testing thing is a minefield. I try very hard to avoid it but it's increasingly difficult. Especially when formerly independent companies sell out to Estee Lauder or L'Oreal. Anyway, products sold in brick-and-mortar stores in China need to be tested on animals, but not online. I believe that's what we're at right now, but am open to correction.

In the past CH has used the term ‘clean’ ( or agreed to the jargon) when marketing and flogging product. One of our eagle eyed Tattlers screen shot it here but I’ve no idea where it is. CH will say whatever she has to for the £££.

Does she still have those terrible false eyelashes?? You’d think one of her friends would tell her they’re awful, too black for her hair colour (chip pan yellow) and not one of them going in the right direction
I unfollowed a wee while ago, but I noticed her daughter is cavorting around trying to become a fitness influencer

I'm sure I saw something recently were she said she regretted doing the box. At the time it was a big thing in beauty and she was probably offered the chance to do it and went for the money.

I don't like her hair blonde, she looks better imo with brown hair but I can understand blonde is lower maintenance if you are going grey (my mum needs her hair doing very 5 weeks to keep it topped up brown).

I don't think fake eyelashes ('extensions' not stick on ones) particularly look nice on anyone as they are just too fake looking, too dark for most people.

Is there anyone you do recommend ? Not being cheeky genuine question.
I do watch Meejmuse (she’s from S Korea). She does Korean products, and more natural skincare now which I love. All the products she’s recommended are available online and I’ve loved what I’ve gotten. She does very in depth reviews and she doesn’t claim to be an expert which I love. I (knock on wood) don’t have major skin issues and I’ve always been more interested in non American, Western European brands due to the harsh chemicals/ingredients in products. They work better for my skin. Also I don’t put a ton of products on my face (def do not do the 10-12step S Korean method) but I’ve used the same products which she recommended for years and they’re amazing. Expensive but worth every penny imo.
Check her out you may find something you like.

Has anyone noticed her daughter Ava’s Instagram? Caroline makes out they’re all isolating together due to Jim being high risk (not disputing he is) yet Ava is posting photos of some boy in her bedroom (assuming her boyfriend?) - one was from 5 weeks ago, others more recent. Also sat right beside her friends. If that’s what she wants to do then crack on but you can’t fool us Caroline. Don’t preach about Coronavirus rules when you’re completely ignoring them. Lock your brat up and don’t let her out if she’s going to risk the health of her dad.

Also - Ava is a right little tart

Wow Ava is out there on insta. Tits out, bum out and she’s what 18!?
and CH is liking her pictures even the thirst traps!
but I guess it suits her ‘cool mom aesthetic‘ - she’s not a regular mom she calls people mate and listens to rock

Interesting. I thought she’d sacked off A’levels and gone to beauty school.

Yeah I’m shocked at Ava tbh, loves herself posing all over insta with half her body out and find it odd that Caroline likes most of it.
One of Avas captions is something like “you want me to ride for you on you” and Caroline has liked that. Bit odd!

Ain’t gonna smile is she, ole Ava?

I’ve always thought Caroline comes over as a little in awe of Ava, like she’s proud her daughter is good looking or something ....not sure I’m making sense here.

I don’t even think she is 18 yet, correct me if I’m wrong? There’s a few videos of her smoking joints too, wonder what her mother thinks...

Lol at her IG bio saying she’s a “fitness trainer”

To be honest, I didn't really know much about the woman until I found this thread, but was shocked she was a skin-care guru. Her skin isn't that great for someone who is supposedly making millions off having all this 'knowledge', and the more i look into her she seems so abrasive. Not a good look.

Wow, she is more tarty than when I first looked. Also what's with the pervy PT session videos of filming her ass up close, etc. Like the start of a porn movie. So weird. If I did that when I was her age or even now, my mum would be having words. Lol.
