And I do feel that she was possibly let down badly by her management. I work in PR and the outfit she wore to the court hearing was a disaster. As frivolous as it sounds, these things matter. Her management, if they cared about her would have appointed a crisis PR team who would never have allowed that outfit. She looked so vulnerable and although she may have had family and friends looking after her she was effectively thrown to the wolves in terms of the press. Says a lot about ITV.

Have they released the transcript of the inquest? I know they do sometimes (for instance in relation to terrorist attacks). The coroner reports are sometimes made available online but I couldn’t find one for Caroline. I thought maybe it would be due to her celebrity but I remember reading Peaches Geldof’s one when she died.
Also I vaguely remember a report at the time she was accused of this assault that her previous fiancée made comments about this being a pattern for Caroline? Does anyone remember this or have any information on it?

I was thinking about this earlier, I remember Andrew saying she was toxic and abusive and he ran away to live in Australia to get away from their relationship and it was the best thing he did etc.. I thought I was going mad and making it up as nobody had mentioned it!
Yes, I agree with this. I know that people will say she could go to court dressed in whatever way she wanted to (and, of course, that was her right). However, when appearing in court on such a serious issue, she would have been better advised to wear a trouser suit or a longer skirt. The outfit she wore played right into the press' hands - they were like a baying mob that day. I didn't see much evidence of ITV trying to protect her in the same way as they did with Ant McPartlin. I know that Ant and Dec are probably ITV's biggest and highest paid stars, but Caroline Flack was the host of one of the most successful shows on tv in Love Island, and yet, they left her to deal with the issue on her own when she was obviously a vulnerable person.

Career in jeopardy. Information that surfaces on the internet will never be removed. Didn’t someone also start selling birthday cards which mocked the case? Not to mention, she’d be constantly reminded on her media accounts daily in years to come by folk about what she may or may not have done, any time she’d post a photo of her dog, a holiday, a new partner, anything.

I remember Andrew saying this too. Also, at, or towards the end of their relationship, he called an ambulance after she'd called him threatening suicide; if I remember correctly, she denied telling him this and implied that he'd either exaggerated what she had said, or that he'd made it up. I'm inclined to believe him though
She was obviously a manipulative person who when lost control of her image couldn’t cope. She has this image of a fun time career girl with a glam lifestyle and toy boys that worshipped her. I feel that behind all this was a scared women with addiction and mental health issues. Her Mum can blame the ex but maybe Caroline was surrounded by enablers who loved her so much they didn’t help her see that she was the problem and needed serious help. It’s a sad situation that she felt the only way out was to kill her self and I hope her mum and family get some peace in the future.

I find it deeply alarming that people are blaming a VICTIM for calling the police
Having known a situation very very similar to that night, I am inclined to believe he called the police in a vindictive way. Thats not to say he shouldnt have called them. Facts are, as far as the public are aware, that she attacked him and he was a victim of that.

Given that she was (reportedly) terrified of the police body cam footage being used in court, it seems that even if the intention of his call to the police had been vindictive, it was proved to be a justified action given her behaviour. It's outrageous that people in these threads are blaming him, he was the victim here and I still think it's unjustified that people don't believe he can move on. More time has passed since her death than the length of time they were reportedly in a relationship.
