The officer’s notes were presented to the court at the plea hearing. The press then reported on it.

I am not sure if that is the case. From memory when I worked at the CPS the charge is put to the defendant at the plea and case manager hearing but any evidence isn’t put until the actual trial.

Odd that Burton is now claiming "it was just a scratch".

In the stories from the time such as this one linked below, he was telling police that she was trying to kill him and repeatedly asking them to come and protect him. His 999 call was played in court at the original hearing, presumably that and photos shown to the court added up to a little more than just a scratch. Now maybe he did overreact in that 999 phone call, who knows, but it would be nice if he'd acknowledge his part in this and why that might have contributed to the CPS decision rather than just criticising them now.

This just popped up on my explore page on Instagram. Now, i had to look few a fair few of tylas pics before I even fully remembered who she was and I'm a Love Island fan.

I don't get at all how she can make these statements. Actually speculating if Caroline Flack may have had the same dreams as her. HARDLY!!! Caroline was never a fake hungry contestant on Love Island she was a TOP tv presenter.

It honestly has baffled me.

It doesn't say who flagged the police car down. It's more likely that person or persons found her I think.

When someone has just self harmed in the way Caroline had, and had drunk as much as she had, it's probably a fair assumption she wasn't in her right mind.



The original statement was actually "while he was in bed". The fast asleep thing is a figment of the press / gossips imaginations.

According to the Daily Mirror the police recording call from him states he said he has just been woken up and someone has tried to kill him.

Making a statement? I know a lot of people were vocal about her appearing in public so soon after CF died. Not sure how easy it would be for her to get time off from a major event like the Brits though. She's probably contracted for appearances like that and I doubt she is wealthy enough to be able to breach her contract, lose income, whatever the repercussions would be. She can't just phone in sick like a regular employee.

I do wonder how Caroline’s behaviour impacted her friends from 2010 era - those with kids and families and who aren’t chasing that romanticised “love” and fame... wonder what they really thought when she had yet ANOTHER decade younger “the one”. They must have known she was in some way fundamentally lacking. But now she’s gone shes being beatified, and no one feels able to say anything beyond “she wasn’t perfect”. Probably to protect the family more than anything.

Function, not form. Saying someone is manipulative doesn't really mean much, as you're describing behaviour, not motive. The term "it's behavioural" is often interchangeable with "they're being manipulative" in Mental Health to describe presentations that are difficult to manage, unpopular or time consuming. One of the problems with this is that there is a suggestion that that person deliberately and consciously behaves like they do.

The fact is, that they don't.

Her career gave her something that was incredibly important to her-so important that death was seemingly a better alternative to not having it.

That's why she tried to protect her career so aggressively. Doesn't make it right, but it does demonstrate that not everything is as it looks on the surface.

I do think that's interesting and I agree it may not be conscious on the persons part but....whatever the motivation 'manipulative' behaviour and suicide threats are a common feature of abusive relationships. The abused person is still greatly affected by it all at the end of the day.

I dont think he released it but I do think he took it. I also think he had inside info about it being released, hence he got in there very quickly and 'owned it'.

I know there was a court order but it's highly unlikely they were totally out of contact. I doubt they met up because of the press intrusion/interest but there are ways and untraceable means. I'd put money on them having pay as you go phones.

His PR team could have released it?

Yeah if it was bipolar she suffered from then it makes a lot of sense. The manic periods followed by severe depression. There was a video of her on her managers insta I think dancing whilst someone is trying to do her makeup and having close family members with bipolar that was my immediate thought.

I think she was upset to be axed from the X Factor so not sure if they remained friends?
