Another meh week!
Sue is awful, blimey Johnathon knocked off £10,000 but she's still moaning, then in the next bit, Terry offers to buy her a load of clothes!
I vaguely remember DD's brother Derek, wasn't he a vicar or a priest?

Yes he was. I also recall that he started dating Margaret which got DD’s back up because of his profession

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that! It was a bit naff of him to give a so little notice with regards to her work but what he was offering in terms of the house was like a silver platter!

Pretty boring drop this week and I could genuinely ring Chrissie's neck the way she acts in school around Geoff.

Some great comic relief though with the return of Julia and all her friends in need of a haircut...

Agree another meh week!
I always liked Julia, she's annoying but funny at the same time! No wonder Tracy was pissed, 25p for a haircut!!
Can't believe it's nearly Xmas again, comes around so quick, probably because not many episodes on during the week like other soaps!

I liked Rod’s reference to either Curly Watts or Reg Holdsworth from Corrie when he was pricing groceries in the supermarket:

“No wonder that four-eyed divvy off Coronation St is such a fool, doing this all week”

Has anyone noticed that apart from once when there was a scene of DD in the kitchen talking to someone (I think it was Patricia), we’ve not seen the inside of the Dixon’s house. All of their scenes so far have taken place outside the house, mostly on their front lawn or in the road

I wonder in real life if the production were making some changes to the interior

Chrissie: I'm looking for a change of image. Please can you cut my hair so it looks exactly the same but everyone's going to act like it doesn't?

Ha just watched that, I thought I can't see any difference!!
Yay we got abit of a look inside Dixon's front room!
That Josie is a right horror, why the hell does Mick keep taking her back.
Why is Rod putting frozen chickens on a shelf instead of the freezer!!

I was young when Brookside first came out and I remember my Mum and Dad absolutely loathing Josie!

I've missed a few weeks and from reading here I haven't bothered to watch
Why is Mick speaking with his teeth clenched all of the time?
And yes! Chrissies hair looked absolutely no different than before 🤣
And those glasses!
I shall try and watch next week hoping that things pick up a bit

The glasses make her eyes look like
“piss holes in the snow” as my granny used to say🤣

Brookie and Corrie were institutions in our house, so loads of happy memories sat watching with our Mam.
So been watching from the start for the pure nostalgia hit, weird warm filming just seeing the 80/90s interiors haha.
Something I never noticed first time round though (and it is petty haha) wtf is with the same generic tune/tunes clearly made for the show?
Kids have posters of artists from the time, and reference listening to them and buying their tapes, yet its always the same rit tune (set me free why don't you babe or some rit). See its even stuck in my head haha, like they could afford to go shooting on location (Spain, Barbados etc).
Yet they clearly didn't want to pay the rights to use real music from the day, no matter what the setting, pub, club, kids rooms, everywhere the same fckin tune. There's real tunes from the day in the South spinoff with Tracey, yet back to monotone back in Liverpool.
In the mid to late 80's ones, it was like some rockerbilly type rit the kids always seemed to have on, how old were they 60?
Sorry for the rant, but once you've heard it, you can't not notice. 🤣

@Rosco agree, it's the same tunes all the time! Does my head in!
Also, the only tv program they ever seem to watch is the magic rabbits with another annoying tune!!
