Agree to both of your points @Maid22!Too much Sinbad in this week's episodes, roll on when the new neighbors arrive!!
Can't understand Mick putting up with Josie ( she'll always Tess in casualty to me!)
Excellent point!!Agree to both of your points @Maid22!
Is it just me that cannot get over Billy's hairy neck??
It makes me feel a bit ill
Especially when he has an open necked shirt!
It seems to just be treading water til the new families arrive, which is ok, no need for massive drama every minute, but it does seem a bit flat at the moment
Oh! And how the heck would Jimmy and Kath get a mortgage?
Those were the days @Maid22!Imagine when that 4th episode was left as a cliffhanger and you had to wait days for the outcome, then they make it look like it was Billy who died, no spoilers either!!
Absolutely, she was a massive character, and though I didn't agree with everything she did or said, you totally believed in her, a masterclass by Sue Johnston.End of an era with Sheila and Billy leaving, I'll miss them, loved Sheila throwing Doreen out!
Am fed up with this Godden storyline.
Max is annoying just like his alarm!
Loved Sammy's hair!
Sheila & Billy leaving was quite understated, you’d be forgiven for thinking that they were just going on a break not leaving permanently. If this was nowadays they would have made more of a fuss of their departureAbsolutely, she was a massive character, and though I didn't agree with everything she did or said, you totally believed in her, a masterclass by Sue Johnston.
I started counting every time Jimmy said the words Godden or Frankie and lost count!
Very very boring but now Barry is on the case it should become a little more interesting.
On the alarm, when we had one fitted it needed to be wired in, not just a box fixed to the wall, so that confused me a little.
Great to see Margaret, she is a good addition and also I loved Patricia back in the day, She was so fashionable and modern in her attitude to females in the work place
It's setting the groundwork for the new era of Brookside now, especially with Sheila and Claire leaving, I'll miss Claire, she was such a poppet
Oh yes, I remember now @Maid22, she did pop in here, what a honour and it was lovely to hear her memoriesAgree, Claire was a poppet! I wonder if the actress who played her did watch any of it, it was lovely of her to pop in here.
I like Margaret, she seems a proper down to earth lass, liked it when she was telling Max how to do diy! But bad they're treating her like a skivvy, Max and Patricia always came across as wannabe snobs to me!!!
Yes, that's very true, totally understatedSheila & Billy leaving was quite understated, you’d be forgiven for thinking that they were just going on a break not leaving permanently. If this was nowadays they would have made more of a fuss of their departure
It was like Harry just going away for what seemed like only a holiday but Mick has revealed, from a phone call, he’s not coming back (although he does make a brief return in the late 90s) and the Collins’s departure was quite subdued as well
Once the Dixons arrive, this will be like, as you say, a new era for the show. Brookside 2.0 in a way and is when I started watching the show. Once the Parade opens, which won’t be until late 1991 that’s when the storylines properly ramp up
They have certainly brought a bit of life in to the close! So the Dixon's and the Moby have moved in!
I never liked Jacqui Dixon, the constant moaning and she sighs ALL the time, I'm going to struggle with her!
Oh I felt sorry for Owen, Sammy was mean to him. They have certainly brought a bit of life in to the close!
I did laugh when dippy Owen saw Sammy, and turned around for home
He's a moaner
I am so enjoying all of the new families turning up, and a nice lot of Barry too, him and Tracey had some nice scenes
Aww I thought that was sweet of him with the lucozade! I used to love that years ago when I was poorly!Oh she is @Maid22, not phoning or dodging the calls, totally messing him about
It was the way he sadly turned round with the bottle of lucozade!
