I started watching from episode one, when STV starting repeating Brookside. I stopped when Heather left the close, as I was previously building up to my all time favourite storyline (Heather marrying Nick / his heroin addiction).
As that storyline closed I stopped watching, with the intention of picking it up again, but I didn’t feel inspired to - as some dull storylines were coming up. Also, the boring couple and then a new family who were really annoying (forgotten their names).
I will get back into it (or try) at some point soon.

Was good to see the original Lucy, sad about the actress who played Annabelle.
Sinbad and Jimmy are already getting on my nerves, didn't like them the first time either!
They are the worse in any soap I've ever watched for keeping dogs, awful treatment.
I’ve got the last couple of weeks episodes to catch up on. Already I miss Harry, he’s so funny. I remember as a teen being annoyed by Harry but now I’m old I love him 
Sheila is really annoying now and I don’t think her a Billy go together well. It shows the writers were desperate for a story line when Bobby went.

So sad! I only found out recently that Doreen Sloane continued to work whilst going through her chemo and her last appearance was just weeks before she died.Sadly the original Lucy died very young
The recent episodes with her in were shown posthumously as she had died in real life by the time they aired
She attended the lifeboat show as a star guest near where I used to live as well around this time. My Mum has photos of her somewhere wearing a life jacket on one of the boats. She was a lovely lady.
I noticed in a lot of her scenes she seemed frail and was sitting down, understandably.

I'd forgotten how annoying Sheila was, she seems to want everything on her terms and all of her NEEDS,
Happily moved in with Billy but not happy for Bobby to move on is just one example over the years and her Catholic faith is very important to her when it suits?
Yes, Poor Tracey is going through it at the moment, I'd like to have seen her and Barry stay together to be honest,as I like both characters.
The Chois have finally moved on, they spoke about their departure almost from the moment they arrived
I'm with you @Maid22, Jimmy and Sinbad could be annoying at times, but I did laugh at them dressed up at the bbq
I like the different storylines with The Rodgers and will be sorry to see The Collins family go, and course Harry has moved on too, though Mick is a great character to replace him
We have all the Sue and Danny drama to come!

I managed to watch them today. I thought Terry and Sue was really good, I don’t remember it being that good as a teen but with life experience you understand better I suppose. It really looked like he physically dragged her out of that taxi, great acting.Good episodes this week, alot went on!!

I kept shouting "Blimey Terry'. Really great acting and though I know it's obviously a character it also shows how any amiable man can have another side to them. By that I'm referring to when it's discovered that a woman has been suffering from DV and people can barely believe it.
I did wonder if that was them!! So they look at the Chois's?
Who has the Collin's next, is it the Dixon's?

I did wonder what they ( The Farnhams)thought of the next door neighbours having the biggest ever argument ,it must have been heard all over the close!
Terry telling Sue he hopes she gets AIDS was absolutely shocking,
I'm so pleased that Tracey put Sheila in her place though, I understand why she was upset, but again, her beliefs do not mean others have to live by them.
The Rodgers had another good week, poignant storyline with Frank and Katie.
Things liven up again now with the new families after treading water for a while.
