EDIT: I’m probably too much of a skeptic but the timing of their engagement is leaving me feel uneasy. This is too smooth sailing with everything going on.

He doesn't exactly strike me as a criminal mastermind-- not saying he's not a jerk. He has dropped a couple of lines here and there that sound exactly like something my angry drunk dad would have said when he still had his mind. He's also a terrible redneck. We don't like outsiders. This Lou Taylor would have been out on her ass long before she ever approached me about sectioning a member of my family.

I started digging into more of the history behind this and OMG this was a railroad job. Not that I didn't know that already, but it's just so blatant. From what I'm seeing the original temporary conservatorship seems to have been granted based on a 15 minute conversation Britney had with a shyster she had never met before. When I petitioned for guardianship of my father, my lawyer had to submit a stack of paperwork a couple of inches thick, including an evaluation from a doctor that was about 50 pages long that the judge read before we ever got into the court room. I'm not even halfway through the stack that I want to read and watch.

money talks... sadly. The previous judge that originally granted it was corrupt just like Penny. Let’s not forget about her!! To think that Britney doesn’t get a date again until the 29th September but Jodi is granted one not even a week after absolutely infuriating. I’m exhausted but I have to stay awake to see what houseinhabit is going to say about JL.

I came across this article this weekend. It's a pretty long but really interesting read, and a thorough breakdown of what happened, from various sources (on her side).

Her social media apparently is her, but she writes the posts and sends them to the social media management company, who check nothing libellous / she's not supposed to mention the conservativeship etc. Probably why she doesn't get to sit online commenting on others posts etc.

I just feel so sorry and sad for her. And Jamie is an absolutely evil piece of work, I hope he gets his comeuppance.

I feel so bad for Britney now that I've heard her testimony! Lots of people in this world have mental health issues, but they are not controlled like this. Forced to be on lithium, forced to keep an IUD fitted, not allowed to have more children if she wants, forced to work against her will...how the hell is this being allowed in the 21 Century? She doesn't seem to have human rights. What happens now?

Wait while the next court date next month. My worry is what happened to her after the court hearing yesterday. I hope she was ok .

My thoughts are that it’s either:
1)The judge has been paid off,
2) it is a stupid technicality thing and can be tried again soon or
3) she’s actually really ill and needs something in place.
If it is 3 I think that the conservatorship isn’t working or the best thing to support her. That’s a massive problem with mental health problems, especially if they don’t follow similar patterns. Some things I’ve read make me think that she needs something and she isn’t fully well herself (such as her dancing in those Instagram posts, she really seems out of it) but then I think ‘well maybe that’s what her minders want you to think’. Plus she sounded quite ok in the leaked audio (if a little rushed and tripping over her words, but that is probably down to the stress of the situation).

It's really concerning how so many people are supportive of him now. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" isn't always true. He's as bad as her family.

If you feel the bf is exploiting her you are basically in the same boat as her parents who essentially are trying to babysit their 40 year old daughter. Countless other celebrities get married multiple times, have different kids, break up, share custody, sign pre-nups, make bad decisions, it's called... LIFE. Why does Britney need to be wrapped in cotton wool. Even if she had 5 more husbands and they were all bad eggs, who's right is it to stop her doing that?

I truly don't understand this narrative at all. How can you honestly compare people who distrust her boyfriend, to her parents!? Dear god. I don't like Sam and I think he has bad intentions. Hopefully I'm wrong, but in literally no way is that me saying she needs wrapped in cotton wool, needs babysitting, should be in a conservatorship, lose her rights to choose or any of those things. It quite literally just means "I don't like Sam and I think he has bad intentions". I'm not trying to stop her dating him, I'm simply expressing concern that I hope he is genuine. Crikes where is this coming from?
