I totally agree. I’ve always thought her boyfriends had to be approved and might have even been chosen for her especially since she didn’t have a phone for a long time and is only allowed to speak to people her dad approves of.The boyfriend has only stoked the fires once they're already up and roaring away. So his input makes little difference other than maybe to convince some of the fans he's on their side.
I think she was earning so much for other people it seems odd that this guy would just be let into becoming the closest person in her life when she's been cut off from everyone.
His presence if anything is helping keep the conservatorship as he outwardly looks like an optimistic, ambitious enabler. Saying things like wanting to have children with her soon while he's young only really feeds the narrative that she needs to be protected.
