I know as human nature we like to think of the positives where someone who has done something bad can be rehabilitated and actually become a good person but I don’t personally believe these 2 fit this category whatsoever, they’re both as bad as eachother and I think the pair of them are inherently sick in the head and evil

Grapes are a great source of insoluble fiber, they don’t dissolve, they’re just roughage like corn and pea skins
Could she not have mixed the ibuprofen gel into the milkshake and the skins found were from grapes. They talked about the gel and that would’ve been easier to hide
When they say gel I’m sure they’re referring to the gel capsules you can buy in most shops. The gel you rub into your skin is different and not absorbed the same as the oral medication
Edited for typo

I don’t I believe she ever took ibuprofen, I think she was just ill and X jumped on it and made it her “Fantasy” 🙄 just to impress Y

Surely there can be no other verdict than guilty for both of them as both were complicit in the messages that outlined plans to kill her, and others, and she was killed in exactly the same manner that they intended in their messages to each other. To me it doesn't really matter which one did the stabbing, both had intent to kill that day, and had planned to kill her sooner than February also. That shows, to me, that they were hellbent on going through with their plans.

Absolutely awful case that has shocked me to my core, and I've worked with some really hardened criminals in the past, but this feels so different due to their ages and interests in murder/torture etc. You have got to wonder what messed them up so much.
There is no other verdict than they are both guilty of murder via joint enterprise IMO, However, everyone in the UK is entitled to a fair trial and I’m glad we have that right in this country.

Agreed, I don't know how anyone who knows the actual extent of what they done to him can think they ever deserved to be released. I made the mistake of heavily researching the James Bulger case and I have read things that I wish I had never read, it really affected me a lot knowing what they done to him.
My grandad was one of the first people at the scene of this. He has spoke to me about it once, he said it’s the most horrific thing he’s ever seen. Horrendous crime in our city that still haunts everyone to this day.

I can’t explain how much respect I have for Justice Yip. Just my opinion, I hate the way the Liverpool Echo/Media refer to Brianna as a transgender schoolgirl. I appreciate this, but can’t help but think, would Brianna have preferred to be referred to as “schoolgirl”? Forgive me I don’t know any members of the transgender community I just would hate to think it’s for the purpose of grabbing more clicks and views :(
I will never get over this case. I can’t stop thinking about Brianna and her final moments. I really do hope she rests in peace x
Yes me too. Not for the same reason however. I feel a lot of people on twitter are using the murder of Brianna for their own political gain. This was not a hate crime. She would still have been murdered if she wasn’t trans. This was a poor child horrifically murdered by two sadists. Their intent was to kill somebody, anybody. Brianna was not the first child on their hit list.

How awful for Brianna’s mother to look back and remember she was ill around that time but will never truly know if that demon was the cause of it. I can’t stop thinking how haunting it would be to look back on that time when your child was still alive but definitely not safe.

Hmm, I am unsure if Brianna was ‘safe’ after seeing what she posted on social media. Heavily sexualised, strong manga pornography influence, keen interest in class A drugs, suicide ideation. I feel she could have been vulnerable to predators without even knowing X or Y.

I’m not disputing that. I literally said she wasn’t safe.

Sorry I worded my point wrong, it’s late 🥱. I was trying to say that Brianna wasn’t safe even if she had nothing to do with X. I would be very concerned if I saw all that on my daughters social media.

Not sure where I said they weren't entitled to a fair trial?

I dunno, I had a terrible sickness bug last week - only thing I wanted to eat was grapes. When the inevitable happened the grape skins never appeared in my sick - just bile 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, like I said… I’m sure she’s haunted to look back now…

There’s a difference between manga and manga pornography. Think it’s very weird to made stuff up about a dead child.

Also, plenty of kids go through phases like this (see also: every emo kid of the early noughties) and it all stays online, so I think it’s a bit of a reach to say that it made her vulnerable to predators.

I don’t think it’s a reach. Some of the stuff on her social media is disturbing. So many references to bimbofication, suicide, being a sugar baby etc. It’s not weird to point out how all teenagers involved seemed to have access to online material that’s not safe.
The internet and its contents have been both a blessing and a curse

It's one of the biggest things that scares me about having kids. There's so much out there that's easier to access than ever. When I was a teenager people were emos or whatever but it was all quite innocent really. What kids are into these days seems so much darker. My older nieces and nephews talk about stuff loads of kids they know do like it's nothing (extreme porn, using cocaine on the weekends like we used to drink alcopops, their nudes all over Snapchat, playing overdose games to see who ends up in A&E), it's so everyday to them. When I was a teenager, that stuff would have been really taboo and not something that was just normal to talk about or do. I don't think it's just being out of touch, I genuinely think the world is a scarier place.

That is shocking! I’m not yet 30 so really my prime teenage years were less than 15 years ago and were nothing like that, it’s shocking to think how things have changed so quickly! The most rebellious things you could do back then was to put some vodka into an empty water bottle and pinch a couple of cigarettes out your mum and dads cupboard before you went out on a Friday night 🙈 then as we got to like 15ish a few people started dabbling with weed and sex did become a thing but only who had “done it” literally no one watched porn or anything extreme, let alone drugs more serious than cannabis 😳 and I didn’t grow up sheltered at all, that’s what everyone was like back then, everyone in my school and other kids from different schools that we knew too.

I’m a similar age to you and it was NOT what everyone was like back then from my experience. Your experience was your experience, and that alone.

And to be clear, this isn’t a dig at you, I just want to share that I grew up in the same era and had a very different experience.
