He's excited about having a baby at Halloween and Christmas. Hardly the first expectant parent to focus on the "fun" parts.

He also talks about being terrified at the lack of sleep.

I think he has the same ideas about what's in store as any soon-to-be-parent does. Hardly "disgusting".

The screeching wouldnt be my reaction, but Brian would screech all day long, seems about right that hes screeching. Horses for courses.

A lot of people saying A will have have to do more than his fair share... thats the case in many relationships that there is unequal division of labour, not sure why is would be any different for them.

That child is very much longed for and loved, im sure theyll make many mistakes, but will figure it out as they go along (like everyone else) and will be fine.

Definitely. There's some bleeping weird reaching on this thread. I couldn't wait for my babies first Christmases. My first birthday with a baby etc.... my partner was crap with a lack of sleep. Does that make him a tit dad. No. He just powers through and whinges like the rest of us. Would they be getting this slack if they weren't a gay couple? Some people are turning me cold on here. And I can be a bleep as much as the next person.

I always find the comments on any thread where someone is having a first baby so patronising, they won’t be able for it, won’t know what hit them, no idea what they’re in for. The vast majority of first time parents are the same, no one truly knows what’s it’s like until they have their own, they’ll be winging it like the rest of us did and they’ll find their feet too. I’m sure people’s opinions are reflecting how they found it maybe if they had a baby with colic or wasn’t a good sleeper etc. and I’m sure I’m the same, had an “easy” baby and found it a breeze to be honest so don’t relate to the predictions of doom for all the new parents.

I used to really like Brian and Oar-thur and thought they were a cute couple -but they sickened me with the OTT glam (esp Brian) for nights out, flogging socks, Pippa’s crap and freebies galore in hotels, etc. To the point that I unfollowed them on social and turned the telly off when either of them were on. I really don’t like them but as someone says it doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a child that’s so wanted. Just hope the wee dote doesn’t become a prop and free content for earning a living for them like so many Instas do with their kids. Nothing to do with them being gay at all!

If a couple I knew, a man and a woman, announced their pregnancy with the man screaming 'we're pregnant!!!!' I'd be rolling my eyes as well. Nothing to do with being homophobic. If he is "pregnant" then he should be off the cocktails he was having last night, do drinking during pregnancy Brian
Nobody has a problem with them having a baby, it will all work out, just people pointing out he didn't thank the surrogate, the we're pregnant thing and him saying he's over qualified cos he has nieces and nephews, if he was a straight man and came out with all of that we would be slagging him off as well
