I'll be binging this tomorrow.

I was a huge Boyzone fan back in the day - they were my boy band. My Dad drove me to Wembley for their concerts and he waited in the car to bring me home after, and I used to sit and watch the tour videos with my Mum. This is going to be fascinating to watch I'm sure.

I really don't understand why everyone seems to be getting on Louis Walsh's case and saying what an awful man he is.

Have you never read about these boyband managers??? By and large they're all nutjobs/borderline criminals. And not just boy bands. Don Arden (managed small faces - Sharon Osbourne's dad) threatened to hang a rival manager out a window. Peter Grant - Led Zeplin Manager was far from a choir boy. Elvis's manager Tom Parker was a total control freak - kept him working Vegas cos he "allegedly" had arreast warrants outstanding in Europe.

Brian Epstein seems to be one of the very few managers who had his clients best interests at heart.

I'm from Scotland and am very old. My boy bands - the Osmonds (still love Donny) and the Bay City Rollers.

Louis Walsh is a plaster cast saint compared to Tam Paton!!!

With these 2 series Louis Walsh is really not looking good. Always thought he was dodgy but he seems quite predatory.

I’ve not seen the doc yet but was wondering who made it? Been reading things and it sounds like Ronan was heavily involved as he said he’d been working on it for years. I’m sure it will still be good but I’d have liked it to come from an impartial person.

Ronan is Co exec producer 👀

Am I the only one who doesn’t think Ronan didn’t come across well? I really like Shane and Keith though and I hope Mikey is doing okay

Say no more. I haven't seen it yet but will look at it with different eyes. It's actually put me off but want to see Mickey Graham.
Same! I’m not saying Louis is an angel but in Ronan’s eyes he’s the rum of the earth and thats what it seems to be showing in this doc. Everyone knows the music industry is hard with a lot of back stabbing so it seems Louis was ruthless and just playing the game I don’t think he’s any worse than any other music manager which is sad but unfortunately part of the industry they choose to get into. The era boyzone were out in also contributed to the issues as Louis also managed Westlife in 00’s and all the press stuff doesn’t seem as bad for them. The 90’s were just wild!

What’s your favourite Boyzone song?
Currently have So Good on repeat coz it’s just such a bop but I love A Different Beat, One Kiss At A Time and of course Picture of You.

They never really had an ‘anthem’ though did they? Like TT; Never Forget.. Westlife; World Of Our Own.. East 17; Stay Another Day

I went to many, many BZ concerts and just don’t remember the same BIG song moment? Or have I just forgotten lol?!

I can listen to Everything I Own on repeat. Mickey Graham singing lead.
I used to walk to the gym everyday listening to BZ20 album - right walking speed and I lived in the sunshine so made me happy. I still listen to it, got it on now.

I would think that No Matter What is their anthem/signature tune

So Good is my jam! A Different Beat was also a banger, but their version of Love Me For A Reason has a place in my heart . It immediately takes me back to January /February 1995 when I was 11 years old deciding which one I have a crush on (always Ronan btw), until a couple of weeks later MN8 came along and stole my attention 👀💪🏾😂 ah simpler times.

I like it, but it’s no hands in the air 🙌🏻 Neverrrrrr Forget where you’re coming from 🙌🏻

Christ I was so obsessed with them though. Watching the doc and I was like “Oh there’s Barrie Knight, ooh Mark Plunkett, the guitar player I met him- called Tim” I actually went to Ronan’s house in Swords once and his lovely Da Gerry was there.

I’m not sure why but I love Melting Pot
I adore Gave It All Away too 🥲

The image they showed in the documentary of Shane holding Stephen on the sofa is in that video and it gets me every time

Enjoyed the documentary and had no idea how bad things were especially on the farewell tour with seperate dressing rooms.
Felt sorry for Mikey back in the day but glad he got to do stuff on the reunion tour and on the BZ20 album as I think that’s their best, it’s definitely my go to Boyzone album. Ronan was always my favourite but not so sure about him in last 5 or so years, noticed he’s soon gone back over to Dubai or wherever from his insta. Don’t believe when he said he wishes he went back tbh it’s not that genuine… and Louis Walsh well think everyone’s said it all..
