I really don't like Brian McFadden at all, I wish others from Westlife were involved more in the show.

He laughs and seems so offended by talking about Kerry. Say what you will about her, but he wasn't there at all to bring up their kids. I think his daughters have spent more time with his parents than him over the years.

Westlife are so much better without him.

I just watched that part and came on to say the same thing. Seemed cruel.
He cheated at his stag as well

Yeah he comes across as an absolute dead beat dad. Didn't he move to Oz when he was with Delta Goodram?? Say what you want about Kerry but she's never abandoned her kids. Thank god for his Mum who seems to have an amazing relationship with the girls. I can't believe Vogue ever gave him the time of day 🙈🙈

I’ve just finished all 3, they could have done more. Nothing about a1, who were a pretty good band…. A cheesy boyband but different.
i was definitely a boyband kinda of girl. Never likes damage, weren’t on my radar but can appreciate them now. I did see them at the boyband reunion tour in 2020.
so many bands they could of mentioned
bbmak
Ultra
The script
East 17 were good and it’s a shame they failed. Had all their albums.

It was probably dependent on who they could get to contribute to it interview wise. I'm assuming nobody from Boyzone for example wanted to feature on it

I was surprised
Louis completely disagreed Damage being all black put them at a disadvantage. It obviously was based on the Smash Hits thing

i thought the exact same. he came across so badly - he spoke about her and their life together like it had just been a complete joke to him and (like you say) he almost sounded offended by it. their poor daughters. i’m no fan of kerry but i can absolutely see how he did a number on her self-esteem.

I was surprised neither Shane or Keith would want to contribute. Shane has done Channel 5 countdown shows talking about Boyzone so he’s not opposed to that sort of thing. Boyzone’s lack of contribution was noticeable considering how big they were at the time, if only to talk about that hilarious The Late Late Show clip of them all dancing like loons in their early days

I went to see Take That in 2011 on the Progress tour and the best part was Pet Shop Boys support act
I’m trying to work out why 2011 me (who went to The Progress tour TWICE) decided to give The PSB’s a swerve and skip the support act?! I love them!

I've told this story before but Five did a tour when they first launched. When I say tour, they did very, very low key events in their home towns (or nearby). They played a firework night near me and Ritchie snogged random girls (me inc) but not in an exactly asking permission way. You went up thinking you'd have a kiss on the cheek and got a sloppy snog. That would never happen now!!!!

Eta: He isn't that much older than me so it wasn't too weird.
Ewwww he always had very red lips 🤢

wyclef jean perfect gentleman 😂we gonna elope to Mexico tell my mum I'm in love with a stripper yo!
I can still sing this word for word. Laughing back at the days of 5 of us skinny white girls crammed into a Nissan Micra, driving though the city with the windows down singing this 🎶I can flex in 25 positions but I only work here to pay my tuition🎶

Binge-watched the 3-part documentaty today, a lot of it made me feel really sad, how upset some of them still are about it, and then smug Simon Cowell just sitting there with his silly tiny coffee cup & too-long fingernails, saying those boys should have known what it would be like. But apart from that, wow Simon Webb is SO attractive even now.

I’m just catching up now, what an epic trip down memory lane! Makes me feel so old and nostalgic though. All these young kids in their heyday and now everyone is grown up and middle aged (including me 😂). Gotta say though the vast majority have definitely improved with age and come across so much better now they’ve matured. And Lee Brennan 😍

Ahhh see I have very fractured memories of the boy band era as I was 20 in 1997 but also was having a baby! It was height of the spice girls cos my sister used to call me “pregnant spice” 😂
Perfect Gentlemen was out around the time I met my husband and it reminds me so much of those times. I still know every word. Also Big Brovaz “favourite things” was our honeymoon song….. (I “married up”- I was a young single mum in a council flat and married an older man with an extremely good job/ own house etc- 25 years later we’re still going strong but those songs were our ironic iconic anthems- see also Thong song 😂)
