Ravel was the slightly classier girls. The cool ones went to Shelley's and Faith. Dolcis a slight notch down. Mine mostly came from Shoe ExpressAww remember Shelley’s and Ravel too?! My mum used to get her clubbing shoes from Dolcis’![]()
It wasn’t really explained why they fell out so spectacularly to never speak for so long. It can’t just be due to Ronan feeling they were unprofessional on the tour. It seems like something is being left out which for a ‘no holds barred’ documentary seems a bit off and convenient if it shows Ronan in a more positive light.Just finished it all. Louis is a cunt.
I'm a bit conflicted on Mikey's stance and I think he is as well to an extent. He says the good outweighed the bad, yet he's focusing on the bad as a reason to not meet the lads for a pint. It's a sad way to leave things after 19 years together. And yet, despite his soap boxing over 3 episodes, he didn't say no to a reunion show![]()
You mean 10 is too many for a boy bandProbably too many of them for a section on the programme lol
Agree about the lack of Botox and fillers...I’m a 90’s teenager who lived for boys bands so this was right up my street. My number one band were (and still are) Boyzone so the lack of coverage on them was disappointing to say the least. However, I was also a big fan of East 17 and I always feel they get overlooked when it comes to nostalgia on 90’s music. I really enjoyed seeing Tony, Terry and John taking part and being interviewed. I saw Tony being interviewed last year when the Lidl Christmas advert was released with the take on Stay Another Day. He said he only agreed to it if proceeds went to charity, so Tony is a good ‘un
Gary, Mark and Howard did their own retrospective in a program with Dermot O’Leary which I am sure is still available on iPlayer. Perhaps they feel there wasn’t anything new or different to add on this show.
I think with hindsight we can all see that there just wasn’t room for both Gary and Robbie in the same band. Personally I don’t see one as being better than the other, they’ve both had incredible highs and lows over the last 30 years. Yet, here we are in 2024 and both still sell out arenas and stadiums with music that’s 30 years old. There’s room for them both - Robbie and Take That. Happy days!
There‘s so much to unpick with life in the 90’s. The control by the media is absolutely insane, and it wasn’t just boybands. Everyone who was remotely famous either had their life changed or destroyed by the press. Pop stars, sports stars, soap actors, politicians, the royal family, you name it, they all had their lives made a misery. One thing I do love about the 90’s is the lack of botox and lip fillers, what a time to be alive!
You're not, I still love that song and choreography! And the futuristic stylingI like out of your mind too probably the only one though
He's an arse. At the time he said he was leaving the band to be with his family and his kids etc, next thing you know he's gone solo, split from Kerry and moved to Australia. His eldest daughter moved to Ireland a few years back and went to secondary school over here, I think so she could do her leaving cert and lived with his parents. I think she might still be here.I really don't like Brian McFadden at all, I wish others from Westlife were involved more in the show.
He laughs and seems so offended by talking about Kerry. Say what you will about her, but he wasn't there at all to bring up their kids. I think his daughters have spent more time with his parents than him over the years.
Westlife are so much better without him.
I've also heard that both Brian and Kerry were off their heads on coke at their wedding so he's not one to be judging her.I just watched that part and came on to say the same thing. Seemed cruel.
He cheated at his stag as well
